I imagine this would be harder to do at LSU. I spent pregame on the sideline for the USCe game with a friend who had credentials. I didn't have any credentials and kept getting questioned every 30 seconds it seemed.

LSU is very strict because the seats go all the way to ground level...so all media/non essential players and staff have to kneel down during play to keep from blocking the view of the people who have the first row seats (even though it is futile, the seats are awful and you can't see any of the game as it is)
opposing team's media always bitch non-stop about this because they usually aren't prepared (local media usually bring kneepads/wear shorts instead of pants)
but because of this rule, there are people watching everyone and checking credentials non-stop during the game

That's a great story. What were the chances your timing would coincide with the equipment bus?

Back in the 90s, some Bama guy dressed up like a referee and snuck onto the field at Tiger Stadium. He even threw a flag, if memory serves.
