All I can say is that Toby Gerhart finished a very close 2nd in the Heisman this year.

because he had a great year.

Do you really think he was the second best player in college football?

Ingram was not the best player in CFB either, both were deserving of Heisman consideration.

If the big 10 and Big 12 champs are undefeated and the SEC champ has 1 loss, the SEC team will not be in the BCS CG.

If Bama loses, it definitely increases the chances. Plain and simple.

no it doesn't, but go ahead and believe it if you want.

The SEC has a better OOC record this year than they did in 2007.

so what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Are you suggesting the SEC had a better OOC record in 2009 because an SEC team has won the last 3 NC?

your arguments are very good i just dont think anything you say will change these guys minds. SEC fans are so paranoid, whether bama wins or loses tonite wont affect what happens next year. do you guys honestly believe if bama goes undefeated next year they would get left out?

Well having an undefeated Auburn team left out of the BCSNCG will do that to you.

The chances of going undefeated in the SEC are slim to none. The argument being made is really for when the SEC Champion has 1 loss.

How can anyone dispute that having the reigning BCS Champion in your conference improves the nations perception of your conference as a whole?

I am with Klaus on this one. Dude is spot on. The agruement is when all things are equal. shite even if Iowa went undeafted this year the media was still saying that a 1 loss SEC team could get in over them. If you dont think the SEC winning the last 3 national championships has anything to do with that then you have no clue.
