And D-Line.

Unless you are fairly dominant on both LOS you probably don't stand a chance unless you have insanely good QB play to offset other deficiencies.

To me, that all means that the best bets for the SEC title are:

Bama
Auburn
UGA
LSU (if Canada can pull off a miracle w/ a QB who isn't very talented)
UF

pretty much comes down to those 5, IMO. All have recruited well on the DL.

UGA has some OL talent, but will be a little young. UF I'm not quite sure what to make of their OL. Bama will be Bama on the OL. Auburn has talent and brought in a good grad transfer to assist and should be good there. LSU has some ?s to answer with losing 2 key contributors on the OL but they have a good OL coach.

Stidham and Eason have substantial talent as passers. Franks probably does too. Hurts is a great college QB as a runner and surely will work to improve as a passer, and has the gifts to do that. Again the biggest ? is can Matt Canada come up with a diverse scheme that covers the whole field with a QB that frankly doesn't have the arm to do that. He probably can...Canada is legit AF.

Gus was a last second TD on LSU from being fired. Even AU fans and boosters know it he is not a good coach. There will be an improvement in AU this season, but it will be because its the defense's 2nd yea under Steele, they brought in Chip to run the offense and call plays, and because you went out and got transfer QB Jarrett Stidham. Defiantly not because of Gus!

1st of all, the only people on the auburn hype train are auburn fans..2nd, Eason has a great arm but i'm not totally convinced on Smart as head coach. But you are in the East so you are no doubt a contender. completely up for grabs

You're being defiant?

Yes, he brought in a new OC, a stud QB, and kept a really good DC. Isn't that something a good coach would do? You say he was a last second TD from LSU from being fired. He also was a last second from being a NC coach. He also was one good QB away from competing for the SECC last year too.

You must've missed the 'at tech' part. Considering we haven't lost in Atlanta without ref assistance and tech vacating the game since the late 80s, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet.

Yall cant say anything about the refs. If it wasnt for them, we would have won at Bobby Dodd the past few years.

Which calls are you referring? Not doubting, just curious.

Georgia is going to own the east for the foreseeable future. Been saying it for a while. They will be very, very good - really soon.

Its not being defiant to state the obvious. When Auburn somehow doesn't manage to win the SEC again this year, you will be on the fire Gus train along with the rest of the AU fans that are already there.

Super easy schedule, too. Only tough road game is @AU in November

Who says AU will be a tough road game for Uga?

what a fvcking retarded arse post.

Gus hired Steele. Gus hired Lindsey. Gus decided to stop calling plays bc he, honestly, lacks the ability to draw up a complex offensive passing game. SO, he did what a good CEO/HC would do and hired someone that can fix the flaws in the organization. Seems like a damn good HC to me, which is what he's being paid to be. Being an OC shouldn't be the job of a HC. Too much on their plates.

Well, yeah. Auburn fans, unlike UGA fans, aren't satisfied with mediocrity. We expect championships.

What is retarded is that you still defend that garbage CEO running your program. You have all the key pieces in place to win this year, except your fearless leader will make sure you come up short as always. Gus stop calling plays because he had to stop calling plays. Your season did a 180 when stopped calling the plays. Maybe Steele will actually coach to his potential this year. Your defensive line will defiantly be worse, not that it was that great last year. Take away Jarrett Stidham and AU would lose at least 4 games this year. You better pray he doesn't get hurt, because if he does AU will be sucking on Bama and UGA's sweaty nuts again this season.

I don't know if you noticed, but 2 years ago we fired a Good HC who was guaranteed to win 10 games a season at UGA. If that is accepting mediocrity then AU wishes they could be on UGA's level.

This is fricking stupid. UGA fired a 10 win coach about 16 months ago.

You don't belong in the same conversation with Alabama.

Depends on the conversation. If the conversation is discussing teams that beat Auburn's arse regularly, UGA does belong in that conversation.
