Of the many inconsistencies I've found with the rankings this is the most confusing. There is no justification for Notre Dame being ranked 5th and Florida being ranked 10th and Stanford being 11th.

Notre Dame's computer ranking is a little odd at the moment due to Texas beating Oklahoma and USC beating Utah. Also, injuries are a CFP criteria. Massey Composite has them at either 6th/7th and if account for Baylor/TCU injuries its not so far fetched.

Florida reason for the being 10th has to do with the SEC East being way down. They lost most of their cross divisional games and don't have a lot of note worthy out of conference victories. According to Real Time RPI, the Sec East(RPI Avg 59) is about 12 spots below the Average ACC Coastal team (47) and about even to ACC Atlantic (60)(The FSU/Clemson invitational). Ole Miss victory over Bama is kinda proping up Florida until FSU.

I think people forget that the Pac-12 has historically been all about the Southern teams. The Pac-12 north(Stanford\Oregon Invitational) didn't do to hot OOC. The average RPI rank of the Pac-12 north is 50. However, they have Notre Dame and the Pac-12 Championship still. They have nothing to worry about.

Also, the bottom feeders seem to be poison to your computer ranking. Curse you Vandy, Kansas, Wake Forest, Colorado and Purdue.
