Well you went undefeated and played a decent schedule to get you into the BCSCG. You did neither of those things in 2011 or 2012, which is what that stat is about.

4-1 against ranked teams in 2011. 4-1 against ranked teams in 2012.

NEWS FLASH: In the last three games against top ten ranked SEC teams in the regular season, LSU is 0-3... losses to Florida, Alabama, Georgia. What a pitiful terrible losing program. And we won't mention the long string of bowl losses because they are out of conference and not regular season so I guess they don't count.

Dude, Alabama is always going to have an easier schedule than the rest of the SECw because they don't play.... Alabama.

God what a tool... schedule... then it will be refs... then it will be REC and fix... or getting a mulligan, or getting into the championship game without winning the conference (duh... LSU played OKlahoma in the BCSC after OK had lost to KS). God what a bunch of butthurt cry babies.

STTDB, third "T" stands for "Tide".

Since 2010, Alabama is 4-5 in the regular season against SEC teams that finished the season ranked.

Using Final AP Rankings

2012:

ND #4 W (doesn't count because post-season)
Georiga #5 W (doesn't count because post-season)
LSU #15 W
A&M #5 (tied w/ UGA) L
Michigan #24 W

2-1

2011:

LSU NCG #2 W (doesn't count here because post-season)
LSU #2 L
Arkansas #5 W

1-1

2010:
Auburn #1 L
LSU #8 L
Arkansas #12 W
Michigan St #14 W (doesn't count because post-season)
Mississippi St #15 W
South Carolina #22 L

2-3

So by my count, regular season record against ranked (by end of season AP poll) is 5-5.

I think it's a bit silly to ignore the quality wins against opponents in the post season. Also interesting that it starts in 2010 to ignore the 2009 season where we went 5-0 against ranked opponents.

I'm sure it's true. Bama has 5 losses in those 3 years, 3 in 2010. Obviously Bama doesn't lose to scrubs. Then you have qualifiers like "ranked at the end of the season" and "during the regular season". Last season, Bama beat #1,#3, and
#5. Naturally, they dropped in the polls.

Obviously the thread could be Bama destroys everyone since 2009 except in 2010. We'd only have to worry about 9-6 and JFF crap.

2010 AP poll
#1 AU loss
#8 LSU loss
#12 Hogs win
#15 MSU win
#22 SCar loss
#14 Sparty win
=============
3-3

2011 AP poll
#2 LSU loss
#2 LSU win
#5 Hogs win
============
2-1

2012 AP poll
#4 ND win
#5 UGA win
#5 A&M loss
#14 LSU win
#24 Meeeshigan win
============
4-1

Total 9-7

I think this is right.

This is actually very very good. Counting wins against teams ranked at the time means little. Counting the W'L's for season ending ranking is a lot less glossy and much more difficult.

This thread was entertaining.

Mostly because of how many posters couldn't comprehend the OP, and it was only a sentence long.

And, here, the final post, still all fricked up over it.

S-E-C games!

And the point of the statement is merely something we all know to be true. Alabama has had worthy championship teams that have suffered losses and still won championships with the weakest schedule of all SEC contenders.

Probably good enough teams to legitimately have accomplished the same feat with a decent schedule, they just seem to get the benefit anyway.
