So coach34, how does it feel to commit treason.

Not true. In 2010 alone, we beat ourselves three times.

Uh. No. You may have a point in the Auburn game, but USC beat the shite out of Bama, and Saban and his first-rounders on offense couldn't do anything about it. That wasn't self-inflicted. It was forced.
Who was the third loss that year? LSU?

Back to the original point of the thread, we've seen the losses. Who are the victories?

Rankings are what they are. Bama doesn't control who is ranked where at the start of the season. I see your point though. It's very clear Lsu was overrated with their ranking this preseason.

Yeah, that 3 loss season must have blown to sit through. The horror.

We're still ranked ahead of where we were to start the year

Using Final AP Rankings

2012:

ND #4 W (doesn't count because post-season)
Georiga #5 W (doesn't count because post-season)
LSU #15 W
A&M #5 (tied w/ UGA) L
Michigan #24 W

2-1

2011:

LSU NCG #2 W (doesn't count here because post-season)
LSU #2 L
Arkansas #5 W

1-1

2010:
Auburn #1 L
LSU #8 L
Arkansas #12 W
Michigan St #14 W (doesn't count because post-season)
Mississippi St #15 W
South Carolina #22 L

2-3

So by my count, regular season record against ranked (by end of season AP poll) is 5-5.

I think it's a bit silly to ignore the quality wins against opponents in the post season. Also interesting that it starts in 2010 to ignore the 2009 season where we went 5-0 against ranked opponents.

well the point is that you only got those postseason slots because of your easy regular season schedules.

Permanent opponents and bridge schedules. Why do you think LSU has been pitching a fit?

Does this explain why LSU has had trouble with Ole Miss and Arkansas since 2008? And who can forget the "Dumbass Miracle" game against Tennessee in 2010.

Well we all have different standards. But 3 of those 4 losses were in one year. We were good in 2011 and 2012. The stats are a bit skewed because we coughed up games in 2010.
