Lack of proper respect for the worthy opponent has infected the Bama football culture for years now. It's institutional hubris. It's completely permeated everything now.

Kinda like a school that throws millions into adding on to a stadium so that more people can empty out of it at the first opportunity? The nouveau-riche are worse than anybody.

I know what was going through his mind.

Seriously, though. Consider it this way. Everyone expected Kiffin to fall flat on his face as soon as the hire was announced. We were lampooned, we were following LSU in tDecline. We were this, we were that.

Everyone expected an instant result one way or the other. We looked like shite in week one, or we looked like world beaters on offense against Florida. It was real easy to get swept up in it no matter which side of the fence you came down on, really.

The thing is, it's a completely new system run under a completely new QB and we're only halfway into the first season. Let's see how things go. If it ends up being a disaster, then it ends up being a disaster. I've always felt that it could potentially go either way.

Says the Bama fan who has curiously changed his team logo to Washington. I'm as big of a Bama fan as there is and I have never quit on this team. I see issues and I hope the team can get it fixed. I don't want to see this team go the route of Tennessee, USC, Texas, or Miami, but that is where we are headed without an attitude change.

I think it has more to do with Blake Sims not being able to handle pressure well on the road. At home he has been lights out.

A real fan can call it like it is. A bad fan is praising everyone during a win and can't be heard from again when we are losing.

A real fan is supportive of his team. A bad fan throws himself and the team off the top of the building at the very first sign of trouble.

That may very well be the case. If so, that's something which can potentially be worked out.

It could also potentially be his downfall.

I'm still 100% supportive of this team and want to see us succeed. I'm not like some LSU fan praying for more losses so they can fire their coach.

I'm still here aren't I? If you can't admit when things are bad, you have no right to boast when things are good.

Please go ahead and jump off the fricking leadge already.

The defense is playing great. The offense is having major issues on the line.

But you keep screaming entitlement. You have no way of knowing that. You come across as the "bammer stereotype."

We have one highly rated OL starting. I think Arie was a 3/4 star.
They are the weak link and its not because they are entitled 5*s. They are just a very average OL at this point with a player playing QB who is not a pure QB.

Now please jump you punk.

Unfortunately.

The problem with "fans" like you is that there's never a middle ground; if I'm not relentlessly pushing my shite-eating opinion for all the world that the team is a bunch of entitled, snotty little fricks who feel like they deserve to win every game until they can finally forget about us and move on to the NFL, then that means I think there aren't any problems.

Not everyone is as big a dickhead as you are. And with "100% support" like yours, who needs fricking detractors?

The "bammer stereotype" is the fan who thinks we are always better than anyone, who still thinks we are better when we lose, and who has so much crimson in his eyes that he can't see problems when they are present.

If you guys wanna wave your pom poms and sing rammer jammer after a 1 point win while we slowly turn into Texas, be my guest.

That is the attitude they should have. A competitor never credits the guy who beat him. Then you accept you can lose, and when you accept you can lose, you start losing.

I'll wave my pom poms and sing if we go fricking winless on the year, every year. I've been down that road and, while it had a definite impact on my mood, it had no impact on my support of the team.

If you're not gonna step away from the ledge, do us a favor and hurl yourself over it.

No shite Cyde.

Is this Sabans best team at Bama? No

Is this his worst team at Bama? So far, no its not.

Will this be a 2010 type team? Could be. Maybe better, it may be worse.

Realistically, this team will be in the middle. No program in the history of college football has been able to sustain a run at the level that Bama has since 2008 infinitely. It will come to an end ay some point. But you will still have idiots like Monticello thinking the end is here and radiohosts like C Coherd predicting the dynasty is over every year until they are eventually right.

And that's the problem. The thing that makes a "dynasty" special is that they don't come about all that often. No one except for the stupid homer fricks think they'll continue on into perpetuity.

We know where our program has been and we know where it is. What we'll do is enjoy the ride and support the team -- win or lose.

You have no point. The only thing you've done in this thread is doomsay and call into question the commitment of both the team and the fans who disagree with you.

I think the majority of us realize there are problems on the team. I also think the majority of us disagree with your shitty attitude and way of going about addressing it.

I think 99% of the entire site wishes you'd keep your shite on the 'Bama board... or has your access to it been removed?

The dynasty is over. Dynasty's don't lose their last 3 top 25 games in a row. The sooner we admit the dynasty is over and that we can't just show up and win, the sooner we can rebuild and have a team who plays as a team.

The stereotype is also a complete overaction to a,,, fricking ugly win, on the road, in the rain, to a team who is long over due for an SEC win.

The stereotype is also to have to make someone at fault for Bama not being as good as they think they should be. In this case you blame it on the players for their entitlement, when in reality, you are the entitled one.

You think you are entitled to a Championship or Championship run because...?
