Anyways, it is impressive what the two schools have pumped out. The 18 first round picks is incredible. The 2011 and 2012 drafts had to pump out 10 or so of those 18 first round picks.

what are you talking about. the poster is 2008- now. quit deflecting.

You just said LSU has more "players in the NFL" which means Alabama has more busts. Does LSU have more "players in the NFL" from the 2008-2016 drafts? If not, then your point includes the timeframe I brought up.

Most talented matchup in CFB for roughly the last 5-7 years almost every single season.

You mean like how LSU fans always conveniently use 2000 as a starting reference point?

Arbitrary starting points aren't exclusive to Alabama.

I think it's odd that Alabama/Saban chose to completely ignore and bypass Saban's first year at Alabama

It didn't, I know it's confusing for those who are mentally challenged.

The 2007 draft would be fir the 06/07 season.

Saban was the coach when the 07 draft occured but he hadn't coached any of those players for Bama.

I guess there might still have been some L5u players he had recruited that were drafted. Can Bama count those? LOL

2 players from that timeframe are still in the league for LSU. You can quit speculating now.

Says the guy who doesn't realize this poster is beginning the count with the 2009, and not the 2008, draft.

2008 was the first draft that Saban had actually coached the tean (the 07/08 season)

Oh, so it wasn't random, it was selected to overstate Alabama's success and minimize LSU's accomplishments - specifically the 5 LSU players selected in the 2007 draft, including 4 in the first round - and including the #1 over all pick.

Gotta find SOME excuse to exclude the 2007 draft.

Seems like a pretty linear line to follow.

- Nick Saban is the coach at Alabama
- Nick Saban's first NFL draft class at Alabama was the 2008 Draft, which followed the 2007 season

Trust me, if they wanted to screw with the numbers they'd start in 2009. Alabama had ZERO players drafted in 2008.

EDIT : LOL, they did. Now, there you go.

The 2008 draft is excluded as well....

Of course not, Alabama is always too busy trying to invalidate other people's arbitrary starting points.

2008 is WAY more arbitrary than 2000. "2008", that's so fricking Auburn of you.

I mean we could use the entire history of both programs but that would be embarrassing to LSU

It's not arbitrary. We started being good in 2008. Makes perfect sense to me.
