ETA: Or post the Stephen Garcia dismissal news.

I am thinking of bumping "trick shot qb" and starting national Germans day again.

Apparently, the mascot matters to Boone and the rest of the administration given all of the pain and angst that went into the decision... It seemed to consume the entire program for a while.

A short memory can be a good thing I guess.

Nutt is just creating a built-in excuse for the arse whippin' that's comin'. I will lay odds he mentions the suspensions in the post game interview.

Pank....a friend of mine up in Oxford said he overheard some rumors about our Capital Campaign for the expansions. Said he heard them talking about a possible rumor with some of the funds being lent to the university for stuff to do around campus. You don't think there is any truth to that do you?

I just wonder since there was a big rumor about money from the Vaught Society being given to the Law School a couple years ago.

Haven't heard anything about it. I'd say take the majority of rumors with a grain of salt right now. Right now is one of those times where people start all sorts of rumors about things just to continue stirring things up. Winning will be a cure-all for stuff like that(needs to happen SOON!).

But I will say this.....that sort of thing is what I hated about Khayat when he was(still kinda is) Chancellor. They routinely took TV and Bowl money from Athletics and used them for academics.

I'm all for improving academics but I'm also a firm believer in having a schools academics and athletics as seperate entities. Neither one should have to financially support the other.

Don't think that this didn't cross my mind.

Like in a game of chess, Nutt sacrifices the Bama game - a certain loss, to save four of his best offensive weapons for the game the following week, against an opponent that they might have a better chance of beating.
