I take it you have zero clue how bad the media picks have been over the years. For example, if the media picks you to repeat as conference champs, your season is toast.
If the media picks Alabama to win the SEC, Alabama will not win the SEC.

If it helps, the media is rarely right in their predictions. Looks like the trend is continuing.
