But seriously though it's just buying us time until Shea Patterson gets here

It is all moot anyways. Sean White is 2 inches away from being the greatest quarterback to ever live, so in 2015, he should at least be able to contend for a measly Heisman.

What makes you think we will take a step back? We won't lose much.

On defense we will lose:
Bird- have Denzel back
Prewitt- deep at safety
DT- we will see if that will hurt
Senquez- we should be fine there
Hooks- probably won't hurt
Bennett- be fine here
Keith Lewis- be fine here

Offense we lose:
Bo- likely will hurt
Vince sanders- wont hurt too bad
Collins Moore- wont hurt

We lose some on defense but not a ton. On offense we aren't losing hardly anything except for Bo, but are OL will be better and if Dk or RB step up we will have a solid offense.

We may not win as many games because the west maybe better but I see that team being better than this years

Looks like 7 or 8 on defense and 9 or 10 on offense

We'll take a step back as will Mississippi State.

We will be better at just about every position group other than QB and LB, which is debatable. Most importantly we don't lose a single offensive or defensive line stater. We will be better in 15 but our schedule and competition will be tougher also.

Offense:

RB - Walton
WR - Treadwell
WR - Quincy
TE - Engram
LT - Tunsil
LG - A. Morris
C - Bell
RG - Bouldin
RT - Cooper

Defense:
LE - CJ Johnson
DT - Nkemdiche
DT - Gross
DE - Brown
Husky - Conner
CB - Hilton
SS - Elston

LBs will be D. Nkemdiche and Christian Russell, so they could be better than this year's. At CB Jones or Shepard will replace Quez, so probable upgrade. And at FS we'll have Alford or Hampton, so probably little drop off.

I didnt had a depth chart in front of me and didn realize Moore is listed as a starter, but I'm still not counting on him.

On defense bird, prewitt, senquez, and DT are listed as starters. I said 7-8 because I think there will be a lot of movement at MLB.

No matter who is listed as a starter we don't lose many players next year and 0 at OL which is a major concern this year.

I'm not sure why you are fighting this

Auburn is the real wildcard, IMO. I know Gus is recruiting well, but they'll have to break in a new quarterback.

Truth, but at least one of the possible replacement QBs will have had significant snaps in real-game action in 2015.

And the 2015 QBs won't be anything like the QBs that were on the roster to replace Cam in 2011 and 2012. Whether they will perform better remains to be seen, of course, but the QBs on the roster now are NOT Trotters or Mosely's or Fraziers.

LSU

sophomore and junior QB with year of experience

we only lose one WR and he's a down field specialist at best. So we should bring back at least 5 of our 6 top WRs.

We'll need some magic to work with the OL, but if it does, we should have 2 returning starters and two guys who've had plenty of play time.

Both receiver TEs returning will have on field experience, and Big Gordon still has one year left

DT spot should be experienced with two deep worth of play time. Hopefully Hunter returns like Montgomery and Mingo did and we just have to plug the best guy on the other side.

LB crew will be loaded two deep with juniors and seniors. Garrett should get one of the starting OLB spots.

Secondary will just be ridiculous! This defense could be better than the 2011 unit, and that is not an exaggeration.

I mean...I know you don't think very highly of Dak but Dak as a senior vs some guys that are just starting their careers is debatable?
