Can anyone tell me what this guy's article has anything to do with "Vegas" besides the title and a couple mentions of spreads? I was expecting a ranking based on remaining games lines average or something similar.

What did Vegas have as the line for A&M vs USCe? Did they have A&M(-24)? I cant recall.

Wut?

I think most UGA fans would even agree with this. Everything on paper (and earth) says UGA steam rolls, but thats just the way this series is. Its similar to my concern before the Arky game this year.

I'm fine with Vegas calling us overrated. We still don't know a lot about our team.

This, on the other hand, greatly confuses me.

Stanford looked like a top 10 team playing a top 10 team to me. Where would you rank them?

Objectively there's no way Georgia is the #2 team in the nation. I think Mason will be solid this season but he's pretty much an average QB in terms of skills and athletic ability. Gurley is great but our OL is not. Our receiving core is sorely depleted.

UGA fans are excited about Pruitt as DC but I think he's probably at least one or two recruiting classes away from having the players he needs for a championship defense. Our front 7 are pretty darn good but our Secondary is young and not deep.

We will likely struggle as usual in Columbia Sat. If we can win it by a FG I will elated that we dodged a frequent bullet there.

It's early of course but so far Oregon, Auburn and A&M look like the 3 best teams. How well SC plays vs Georgia will say something about how good the Aggies are. They looked damn impressive from my perspective.

I think A&M would torch most teams on that list and they can put USC and Notre Dame in there, but that's a joke.

I will say that I don't think South Carolina gets up for anyone as well as they get up for Georgia.

Time will tell if A&M is really a top team but based on what we've seen so far there's no way you can say they don't deserve a top 5 ranking.

South Carolina might not even be ranked next week. Why again should A&M be Top 5?

Having LSU not in there is a joke.

Bigger joke is having ND and Stanford in the top 10

As opposed to who?

I have no idea where A&M will end up. But based on two games I think top 5 is reasonable. I'd join in with the author and say a #1 vote is ridiculous, but I haven't seen anybody clearly better.

There are other teams that could make the same argument.

SC could be a piece of crap and you played a cupcake. Now, Auburn hasn't played world beaters yet either but we return alot of the team that was Top 5 last year.

ETA; And I don't mean to pick on A&M, my point is basing anything off beating a team that ranked high preseason is sorta bullshite. Preseason polls also bullshite. No polls should be taken until October.

I agree, but... they are taken. And us bitching about it isn't going to change anything. If I'm forced to pick 5 I'd go with Oregon and 4 SECW teams, in no particular order. It really is meaningless at this point, though, other than getting people to talk about it.
