I was hoping C34 would stay on at South Panola so maybe he could swing some Oxford recruits....

Depends on....

1. If his employment had actually become official(I wasn't officially employed at my current job until the 2nd week due to paperwork).

AND....<---key word

2. He was under a contract.

Mississippi is a right to work state. Employers don't actually need a reason to fire you. A simple "Thank you but your services are no longer needed" is all that the employer would need to say.

And if there was a signed contract...it would be incredibly dumb to not include any sort of "moral/ethical clause" that would enable them to terminate an employee for a number of things including making racist remarks on a public forum.

One of msu leaning high schools need to step up and offer this guy a job. They need to watch out for one of their boys and support his family in their time of need.

If there was a signed contract, he would have been bound by the dept of education's "Code of Conduct", which is fairly extensive and descriptive of what you can't do. The question would be is that going forward or are you held to the same standard if you had a past and were hired anyway. Ask the Coach....

This latest ordeal backs up what I've been saying for years. Yancy Porter got things going on getting the coach fired and here is an example of Ole Miss fans discussing and abusing their power.

What power is it that we have?

This ineriority complex is getting out of control.

Really? You think it would be wise to bring even more attention to the racist remarks he made about players AT THAT SCHOOL before he was hired? I think that would be a very bad move on his part.

Calling someone "uncle Tom " is not racist per se. Besides Ole miss fans should be the last people to call someone else racist with the sh*t that has gone at that school.

Well, since sanctions make their way to Tuscaloosa about every ten years or so you might be due.

Ole Miss cheated. I admit it. How much of it was known by the current coaches, we may never know. How bad a punishment will we get, I will wait and see.

Don't be the Bama fan that acts like their program doesn't have money flowing around it. There are plenty of reasonable Bama fans who know it, accept it, and still love the school and its team.

Yeah, isn't this how it all got started?

South Panola has been a pipeline to Ole Miss.

LINK

Is that why your staffer made fun of his injury? He beat your pipeline?

What kind of OM staffer posts "Hahaha" to a college football injury?

I am not the fan that says we don't pay kids......but I am the fan that says nothing either way about it. I don't brag about being clean, and I don't brag about the REC getting players. Unlike the many Ole Miss fans, who at the beginning of this whole mess, stuck their heads up high and proclaimed they weren't cheating. Any post proclaiming they were was met with ridicule, or posters were called "salty" because OM fans, at that point, could not be proven wrong. Now that they HAVE been proven wrong, now some want to use the "everyone" does it" defense. If those people that proclaimed total innocence hadn't been so arrogant and condescending trying to "protect" the image of your program, then maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

At each stage, many OM fans have looked at the situation through homer glasses, and tried to convince everyone of us that it isn't bad, or someone was lying......from the Tunsil suspension, to the Step-dad NCAA conversations to the NOA, seems that many have proclaimed there was nothing to each, yet each has causes y'all harm. Even when the man, sitting in front of millions of people proclaimed he was paid by coaches, some of the more faithful still tried to convince us, "he didn't say that" or "it came from a special fund" or "he was confused" in a effort not to admit guilt.

These reasons above are why most rivals fans are having fun at your expense...........I asked a 7-7 coach one time why everyone seemed upset with OM.....his answer "they are operating outside the accepted norms". Many folks have used the "80 in a 70 MPH zone, while OM is doing 100 analogy" my buddy says this is EXACTLY what he meant.

I totally get what you are saying but there were false/unfounded accusations being thrown at us before any formal documentation became public. I agree that OM fans that were claiming total innocence early on were in denial and there isn't much defense other than half the other posters claiming complete innocence too. It's BS, boosters are part of college football.

The thing that frustrates a lot of fans is that our situation is being equated to situations like SMU or some other unprecedented case. We downplay the severity of it all, not because we think we are innocent, but because compared to many of the investigations over the past decade, what we did is busch league. The level at which we have cheated doesn't warrant much more than the sanctions we proposed, otherwise we would've proposed something way worse. We are going 90MPH not 100 and everyone else is still going 80. We got caught, big deal. Let's pay for it. People are buying into the "Ole Miss is only winning because of cheating and corruption" conspiracy which is obviously false if you know anything about the game. I get it. It's fun and I would probably do the same thing. I will tell you that it can get old having the little achievement we've had dwindled down to cheating when half the division has more talent, better facilities, and more accomplished programs.

Personally, I haven't said much about it because I don't know the details and neither does anyone else. Everyone on here would be defending their school the same way we are so I don't see a problem with it. Just wait til the ish is official damn. But I know nobody will.

Do you not think that once the school performed a mandatory background check on C34 that they wouldn't have unearthed his internet history? Maybe the head coach at the school is totally clueless to his friends history and notoriety on the internet but a background check would have caught that.

background check was already done- has to be done before the school board can approve someone.
