I'm saying what he did that broke rules was not an offense that typically gets one fired. He could have sued and possibly received the full amount on his contract (valued at over $475K per year). He received a fraction of that as a severance. I understand all of this may be difficult for you to grasp or accept, but the reality of the situation does not match your chosen narrative.
Sure, 75% percent of his pay is a fraction, and unusually large fraction for someone who both broke rules, and lied to his employer. If you think he would have been able to take Bama to court and win, then you are sadly mistaken. That narrative doesn't make sense whether it's yours or mine.

I also haven't done anything about increasing taxes, Pluto being demoted from planetary status or common core either. If you have attended to all things outside of your control, kudos to you.
If we are being honest, by your definition, this place would be Old McDonald. With a cuck, cuck here, and a cuck, cuck there. Here a cuck, there a cuck, everywhere a cuck, cuck.
I said cuck more than you. Are you gonna have your wife hit up a BBC to make you feel better?

Apologies if my comment was a low blow. If it's not obvious, I am just defending my stance and having fun with pithy retorts. I certainly did not intend ill will with my comments.
With respect, I'm sure your dad doesn't regret having you.

It isn't that he was cheating.
It's that he was caught cheating and was becoming relevant. Ole Miss was beginning to give Bama fits. Saban was getting outcoached by Hugh, and it was affecting the cash cow narrative perpetuating that Saban is the GOAT coach, and we get to witness the age of his greatness. He's well connected to Mark Emmert, the president of the NCAA, and BAMA gets a slant from the SEC offices being located in Birmingham.
IMO, Hugh wasn't doing anything more than virtually every major program. Former coaches in the SEC have said there is some unspoken code. Schools expect each other to cheat, but usually do not throw stones because of M.A.D. or mutually assured destruction. It is in the same thread of logic like how every super power maintains threat of nuclear strike. It is strictly a deterrent.
Saban is one of the only coaches who can work behind the scenes to get the NCAA digging around without fear of retaliation. Saban has constantly been known for pushing the boundaries thus leading to the creation of a number of new NCAA rules directly in response to his "creative" thinking. I know while Saban was working for LSU, he was responsible for setting up the booster system that we currently use. For instance, our south florida recruiting was set up originally by Saban's booster footprint starting with Dwayne Bowe. Our booster in that area comes through nearly every recruiting class. Kevin Toliver, Pat Peterson, Dwyane Bowe, and soon to be Pat Surtain.
I know most of you will think black helicopters, and I suppose denial must be nice. All major programs use booster's to cheat. As long as it is not blatant, or you don't disrupt the order of things, then you are not gonna get ratted out.
Hugh did not get caught because he is a cheater; he is under the microscope because he was disrupting the powers that be. If left to his devices, Saban was trending toward an automatic loss every year as he couldn't outscore or contain Hugh's offense.
As an LSU fan, I support Hugh 100 percent, and I don't believe he is any more or less guilty than most if not all SEC coaches.
If you tldr as a reply, I understand. It must be difficult to blow the almighty angry midget while trying to SEC Rant.

You're incorrectly assuming he had 1 year left on his contract. He did not, therefore, $317K is a fraction of what he was owed.

First of all dumbass,....Kevin Toliver is from Jacksonville which is about 5 miles from Georgia and about 350 miles from South Florida. LSU's current roster has 1 South florida player (John Battle). Besides Peterson, the only South Florida players who have contributed at LSU the last decade were Ricky Jean-Francois, Rashard Robinson (same HS as PP), Demetrius Byrd JC transfer) and Ali Highsmith.
Meanwhile Saban has plucked Vandarius Cowan (5*), Eddie Jackson, Jerry Jeudy (5*), Calvin Ridley, Amari Cooper and Ed Stinson out of South Florida. Saban got 3 players (Travis Daniels, Xavier Carter and Bowe) out of South Florida in his 5 years at LSU. He's getting that every year now at Alabama. Looks like whatever Saban booster "footprint" set up in South Florida is serving Saban.

The booster lives in south florida, that doesn't mean he is limited to that region and not other areas of Florida.
Saban did this at LSU, and I'm sure he did it again at Bama. The point was about first hand info of him setting up booster footprints. Of course when he gets hired on at a rival school, he is going to compete and set up new ones under his new employer.
What was your second point? You call me the dumbass, yet you got lost after your first point...
Stop embarrassing LSU fans, we have enough ignorance rampant from those who never earned a degree from my alma mater as it is

Which is more than he would have ever received had he decided to burn money hiring a lawyer after breaking rules and lying to his employer. Why throw him any bone? Bama owed him nothing at that point. He was notched recruiting violation, and then lied to his employer, in your words.
Bama would have no reason to pay him 300k if this were the case.

Hmmmm....so you claim be an "LSU fan" with firsthand knowledge of past LSU recruiting violations, that we have a booster that "comes through nearly every recruiting class" and you post it on the SEC Rant. And I'm the one that LSU fans should be worried about embarrassing them? Yeah, you're not a dumbass.

Talking about a booster is common knowledge. There is no SECRant sleuth that is gonna slam us with sanctions based on my statement, special k retard

You're an idiot and an embarrassment to LSU... if you truly are an LSU fan

Thanks for that. I do understand that all things are in play here and that is why I like to read this board. No worries here.

What's hilarious here is that nothing that OP said is in any way new or original. The same nonsense has been posted on this board by nuts from various fan bases. OP is both crazy and unoriginal.

NCAA typically jumps on an upstart that is making noise. Nothing new here.
Of course, Saban was behind it. All evil in the world is frown Satan and all evil in football comes from Saban. John 6:16
