No it wasn't. You just want to think it was. USC actually finished 2nd in passing yards allowed, allowing 131 ypg and 1712 total passing yards. LSU was 8th with 171 ypg and 2400 total. Bama, USC, and Army were the only fbs schools to allow less than 2000 yards passing. But by all means, don't let stats get in that way of that dern memory of yours.

Really? Wasn't that big of a dropoff... only about 15 more yards per game allowed by Michigan State.
We played the best offenses in the country. Statistically we may have been similar but I can't believe you can even compare those defenses. Go look at Murray's stats versus us one more time homeboy.

Who? Oregon? Team sure did look great against the defensive juggernaut that is Auburn.

Or I could just tell you I watched both games and in one of them our receivers were dropping passes (LSU) and in the other they were catching them (MSU - Tavarres King with 200 receiving yards).

Stats don't mean as much as you'd like to think. How about you go look at the point totals against the teams that had decent offenses?

ECU - 37
UGA - 42
Arky - 44
Clemson - 13 (props on this one)

Michigan State looked like a pro D in the bowl game, LSU in the SECCG, a bunch of confused thugs, led by your POS FB on the other side of the ball, who would have been in trouble, had Georgia not dropped TD passes.

An absolutely worthless OL played it´s heart out to perfection in the beginning of the game, alas, it was not to be.

Shouldn´t you be making possum sausage or something?

Maybe....Maybe not. They will have to improve their pass rush between now and then. Murray is playing the best ball of his career since the 1st half of Florida.

Not just stats....his throws are far and away the best they have ever been. We will find out soon but I believe the second half against Florida restored his confidence.

So the better offenses are going to put more points against us? No way. We still finished 10th in scoring D, LSU finished 2nd. We could all night talking and twisting stats to fit our argument but to say USC's (and State's) Defense wasn't anywhere near LSU's just isn't true. All great defenses and I'm mad at you that you basically made me stick up for Murray...shame on you.

It obviously scared your kicker.

42-10

ETA: I can't think of too many pro defenses that give up 30. Except for the Saints

That is because they played against Aaron Murray and company.

MSU had a good defense...not as talented or productive as LSU on any scale though. Not to mention, LSU just got done beating the #3 ranked and best Passing offense in the South 6 days prior to beating you guys in the SECCG. Whereas, MSU got 28 days to prep for you.

LSU fans aren't out to get Murray...most fans that aren't wearing black and red glasses see him for what he is though. That is a good QB in a Mark Richt offense that consistently gets overhyped and exposed against like quality teams.

So he had a good half against the Gators and then played who after that? Auburn, Ole Miss, and Ga. Southern.

Southern's defense is underrated. Gave us a better test than we will get on Saturday.

So the truth is that in those 7 games he's throw 7 int's?

Again...I said not stats but his actual passes. Murray has had a bad habit of over shooting open receivers on the deep pass by 15 yards. He is putting them on the money right now.

But come on man, Alabama and LSU's defenses were on totally different planets last year. USCe had a good D last year, but again overall it just didn't match up with LSU or Alabama and you know this

Two big time NFL DLs. Big time. Yours have yet to be proven, so don´t start with their respective projections.

For me anyway, this isn´t about Murray, I´m not fond of him, it´s about your coonass BS.

A shoddy OL and tremendously less than stellar QB had yáll on the ropes, in a big game.

Think that goes without saying. People are on the bandwagon because of two games. That same Ole Miss team Mett went 22/37 282 yards 0 tds and 2 ints....Murray was 21/28 for 384 yards, 4 tds and 0 ints.

Murray has been starting since 1980. Mett will be much better before his career is over.

No. 14 total touchdowns to 7 INT's. Point I was making is the defeats were not all on him. Several games had the defense made a stop they would have won the game.
