Someone listed in an earlier discussion the games Murray has been defeated in by teams ranked in the top 25 at the seasons end. As a result, I decided to look up the stats of those games. I think you will find that Murray was not the cost of many of those games.

2010

Auburn(UGA offense 31 points)

15/28 273 yards, 3 touchdowns, 0 INTS

Arkansas (UGA offense 24 points)

15/27 253 yards,1 passing touchdown, 1 rushing TD, and 1 INT (no AJ)

South Carolina (UGA offense 6 points)

14/21 195 yards and 0 Tds, 0 INTs (no AJ)

2011

Boise State (UGA offense 21 points)

16/29 236 yards 2 TD’s, 1 INT

South Carolina(UGA offense 42 points)

19/29 248 yards, 4 touchdowns, 1 INT

LSU(UGA offense 10 points)

16/40 163 yards 1 touchdown, 2 interceptions ( 2 dropped TD passes changed game)

Michigan State (UGA offense 30 points)

20/32 288 yards, 2 touchdowns, 2 interceptions

Think that goes without saying. People are on the bandwagon because of two games. That same Ole Miss team Mett went 22/37 282 yards 0 tds and 2 ints....Murray was 21/28 for 384 yards, 4 tds and 0 ints.

Well, it's not all about Murray. Most people expect Georgia to shite the bed in just about any big time game. Been that way since maybe the Sugar bowl against Hawaii. Regardless of stats, Murray is the QB and you live and die by your QB in the eyes of most. Now the last big game, they won. So maybe its turned around, who knows. Doubt it against Bama though.

The only REAL defense he faced.

Bama will murder him

Comparing 2012 bama defense to 2011 LSU is like comparing 2001 Miami to 2012 Miami.

Moron. USC and Michigan State had very good defenses last year.

2 INTS

One for a Touchdown.

Not to mention a fumble at a critical point in the 2nd half

All 3 of them were top 5 in nearly every statistical category.

eta: damn, some of you LSU fans are really out to get Murray. People forget he had no help from his running backs or offensive line in that SECCG, not to mention the early drops from the receivers.

Michigan State looked better.

South Carolina actually finished 3rd in total defense (yards per game), while LSU finished second. So really USC could not have gotten any closer to LSU. Michigan State was 6th fwiw.

Really? Wasn't that big of a dropoff... only about 15 more yards per game allowed by Michigan State.
