Because of the latent guilt they feel by their number one fan being such a turd.

I can honestly say I have 0 guilt for anything that has happened to those trees. Sorry it happened, but that is it.

Why are many mad because of perceived danger of an isolated tree on fire? NO WORSE than a bonfire!

After 6 years, I'm pretty tired of hearing about those fricking trees.

It's called tradition. I am sure you wouldn't take kindly to an opposing fan pissing on the statues. Piss can be cleaned off. Poisoning/burning something is a different matter. The trees obviously don't mean anything to you, but to our fanbase they have great meaning.

Sorry that happen to yall. Traditions run deep here in the SEC. I'm just happy it wasn't a guy from Louisiana.

Throwing toilet paper in a tree is tradition?

Auburn is a pathetic bunch.

It goes back to the Punt bama punt game. Terry Henley said we were going to beat the #2 out of undefeated bama. Auburn won and students/fans rolled the trees. It's ours whether you understand it or like it.

This isn't about trees or tradition. It isn't that hard to plant or replace trees with modern machinery. The Aubies will have another one to roll like they are in middle school. Fire is not a "perceived" danger, it is a very real one. There were a lot of people in that area when that young man lit it up. That is the issue here. Aubies have a right to be mad about this one. Hell, I'm pretty mad about it and I don't give a rat's arse about those trees.

Is the National Anthem worth it ? Are Christmas Trees worth it ? Is "Baby in the Manger" worth it ? We live in a society where we let a few of the trouble makers and in this case rednecks dictate what we believe in and what makes us proud. Screw them and grow two additional trees next time and continue to roll them. frick the redneck bammers who are relishing this latest event.

I agree. Why can't we just respect each other like grown men and women. RESPECT.
