Haven't been to FB, but been going to the Kenai for 9 years. Interested in taking a winter trip to FB to see Northern Lights, if we could pick the right time

Hard to plan on the Aurora, best times are during a Solar Maximum. Sept-Oct or March-April would be the best times of the year. You'll miss the bitter cold.

I would recommend mid September. The leaves will be changing (yellow), the temps are moderate, and there's "normal" day/night for northern light viewing.
