Jordan-Hare and Tiger Stadium are the best atmospheres in the country.

Ole Miss blew giant donkey penis. Georgia is always good, but not on level with AU/LSU. Haven't been to Bama since 2006. Clemson is impressive, for not being a bowl. Florida State and Miami are jokes.

ETA: And they're not on the list, but MSU and Vandy were more pathetic than Ole Miss. I'd put South Carolina on level with Georgia and Clemson. I think that covers all the stadiums I've been to.

Good one

Nice to know even with a half full stadium we are louder than a lot of SEC venues

I assume the Grove has a lot to do with this, but the stadium didn't get to max attendance until halfway through the first quarter. And even then, it wasn't filled. Y'all are at what, 60k-ish?

Hopefully Freeze does a good job of changing the culture. Y'all should be able to pull more than that out to an SEC West game, especially given the dumpster fire we were.

1. Oregon - I'm sure it's pretty cool, but no
2. Penn State
3. Ole Miss
4. Texas A&M
5. Ohio State
6. Notre Dame
7. West Virginia - ha
8. Clemson
9. Florida State - maybe in the 90s, but only in the 90s
10. Alabama - higher
11. Auburn - higher
12. Michigan - maybe a bit higher
13. Pittsburgh - no, not even top 40 probably
14. LSU - higher, in the conversation for #1
15. Miami - psh, not a fricking chance. maybe in the 30s
16. Georgia - I don't think I'm being biased at all when I say it should be higher. Not top 5 or anything, but higher. Certainly above Miami, Pitt, WVU, and FSU. Some others are debatable

Ole Miss tailgating is great, the stadium experience sucks and Auburn has won every time I have been there. The fans come in late and leave early. Sort of ruins your whole list.

Other than the barn part, this. And I hate the corndogs as much as anyone, but not to have them in the top 5 is ridiculous. And these are only a couple of the many obvious problems with your rankings. Bad list is bad.

I know I am going to be in the minority but I have been to LSU, Bama, and South Carolina for Georgia games and South Carolina was by far the best atmosphere. LSU was a 330 game so I don't think it's fair to compare though.

Last year South Carolina was better than any UGA home game since Auburn 2007.

If you came this year Freeze hadn't convinced everybody yet. You know how side walkers are.

The 2007 game was easily the best atmosphere I've seen at Sanford - and I could go on and on about Athens that day, it was unbelievable - but '05, '09, and '11 were all significantly... I don't know, different. I don't want to use the word "worse", because even though they were, it's not like it was bad. Just, not on the level on 2007.

That's an interesting question...I'd say the atmosphere in a top notch close game is second to none, in Tiger Stadium , win OR lose. But, since we don't have that much recent experience with home losses...perhaps you can give us your most educated opinion as to how it works at Ole Ms games. You know, the ones in Oxford, of which you've lost a shite load of recently !

I know you asked for opinions, which hopefully means that you were expecting the opinions of your list that you got, especially from this site. I have no issue with it, as you've presented it as your subjective opinion of games you've attended, and who am I to tell you your feelings about them are wrong. Good list!
