I once worked for a brilliant man who owned a large American company. One of the rules he gave me as a division manager was to never hire a person for less than they were previously paid. Arkansas violated that rule in hiring John Calipari. No matter how much the new hire swears they are satisfied with the lesser salary they will always believe deep down that you have undervalued their talent and service. We’re about to find out if that rule is valid.

With his incentives he can make a truckload more than he made at Kentucky.

You realize people take less money every day to get away from bad management, right?

lol...Cal got everything he wanted in the deal. If he hadn't, he would have turned it down.

Musslemans buyout was given to Cal as a signing bonus.

He can earn over 10 mil per year by based on conference and tourney performance.

His NIL budget is 4 times what if was at KY and he doesn't have to do all to work getting the NIL money.

He is being allowed to hire on his staff who he wants. He is allowed to recruit who he wants. He is allowed to take the transfers he wants. His program his way.

So his base salary is less, but he has more control, better support and facilities at Arkansas.

The brilliant man you worked for lied to you to keep you stupid so you wouldn't become competition. You lapped it up like the good dog you are.
