MSU is called a game winning drive. I guess those are flukes now?
Yes because it was a pass
So just the last pass was a fluke? Not the other 22 that were completed before? We passed for over 300 yards in that game.
It was a fluke that we didnt just run it down your throats.

One of the primary premises of the OP was a flame, moron. So the OP "derailed" his own damn thread.

I'm sure Gus drew up the kick trajectory and set up blocking schemes during the timeout too.
You do realize return teams on special team DO call plays, right? As in "Return left" or "Return right"?
And that setting up to block in certain positions on those plays (i.e. the "scheme") is part of the play call?
Or do you think all returns and the blocks that are part of them are just utterly random?

Our front 7 wouldn't have allowed that hence your passing numbers you're just mad now and making no sense.

We did not try. 36 carries was the least number of attemps.
Just like 2010, we were running 25% of our playbook with a QB that had just gotten to campus.

Lok, Re: Auburn/MSU
The game-winning drive was MSU's prevent-the-win defense. MSU had basically shut Auburn down for most of the game and then Auburn looked like they were playing against air.
I wouldn't call that a fluke, or luck. It was a good drive executed against a poor plan.
This was the fluke in that game. It led to a FG that put the game within reach of a last minute drive.
This is by definition, a fluke.
LINK
And the early touchdown that Auburn scored was on a busted play. Busted Play TD + QB Pass to Himself + 2 Missed Chip Shot FGs from MSU + Last Minute Drive = Luck.
MSU will rape Auburn this year. Auburn may win every other game, but that night in Starkville midseason is going to be ugly for Auburn.

Auburn never stops being in other fans' heads.
I hope we win a game this year on a 5th down play.
Preferably lsu or ole miss so they can have their turn on the menstrual-go-round.

12 minutes in the 3rd Q...yeah that directly led to the final drive.

Actually that play led to a FG cutting the lead to 4 so we were not shut down nor was the game "out of reach"
Yall are seriously reaching now.

So the fluke was that the MSU defender didn't do his job properly?
Or that the AU QB *did* do his job properly?

AU led the entire first half...all 30 minutes.
State never scored after the 12:30 mark in the 3rd Q.

You really believe that MSU did not have Auburn shut down before that?
Auburn FG early 1st quarter
Busted Play Touchdown + 2 point conversion
Auburn FG after Marshall Pass to Himself
That was Auburn's offense before the final drive.
Posted on 7/9/14 at 12:56 pm to parkjas2001
I agree. Auburn had MSU shut down as well, but prior to that final drive, Auburn looked like shite.

I was there. And I just watched the highlights to make sure what I remembered was correct.
Auburn had a nice early drive for a FG.
Auburn scored a touchdown on a busted play and then went for two.
Auburn scored a FG after the Marshall pass to himself.
Then the last minute drive.
It was a defensive battle on both sides. My point is that MSU had shut down Auburn prior to the final drive and that is the truth as illustrated in Auburn's scoring.
113 yards of offense came on two fluke plays for Auburn (the bust and the pass to himself). The final drive was 88 yards. Those two fluke plays were half of your offense in the first 58 minutes of the game. MSU had Auburn shut down prior to that final drive.
I rest my case and yield to the non-Auburn posters on the rant that my opinion that MSU had shut down Auburn prior to the final drive is correct.

Yall really need to let this go.
Why let go of the truth? You know it's true as well.
Last year's Auburn team will be remembered for two things: 1. Being as lucky as they were good. 2. Ending the SEC's NC streak.

LSU has young inexperienced talent.
I don't take exception because that statement, in the right context is true. However most every SEC school has a lot of inexperienced talent at the beginning of a given season, which by season's end is primed and ready. The Tigers have five areas of great depth. O-line and defensive backfield are national top-tens. Special teams will be exceptional once more. Depth at LB may be their best ever. Two good running backs and the starting fullback return, girded with the number one back in this class. The "inexperienced" components for the Tigers; D-line, QB and Receivers could all play just average and the team still wins 10 games. Winning more than ten will depend on those "inexperienced" areas gelling sooner than later.
