The SEC really needs to move to 16 teams with 4 pods.

If we expanded we would get a NC team somewhere in there.

Second down vote. But to aid in your shitty troll thread in lieu of pods or divisions, just have every team with 2-4 permanent opponents per team and rotate the rest of the teams.

One of your so called "pods" is much harder than the rest.

I like Houston. Great area, great money, great recruiting bed, I think they can compete after a couple of years.

Houston and Clemson would be two of the dumbest picks to add to the SEC, since it expands the SEC footprint by a factor of 0.
And not to mention, these schools both have relative smaller fanbases, esp. Houston.
And since when is Arkansas an "Original"?

Well, Pod 1 is all teams with original mascots.

How many other college teams share those same mascots?

Pod 2, they're all Tigers. Hell, we have 3 fricking teams in the SEC with the Tigers mascot. Adding Clemson would make it 4. That's 4 god damned teams with a Tiger mascot that would play each other. The Tigers would win every year.

Pod 3? 2 Bulldogs, a Wildcat and a Cougar. Cats and Dogs. Houston was the most geographically convenient school that could conceivably join the SEC that would fit the mascot scheme.

pod 4? The leftovers. It only has 3 teams in it for the next few years anyway.

Florida.. the Gator could work in the originals.. but it's not quite as unique as the others. South Carolina? Jacksonville St. relegated you to pod 4. Texas A&M? Aggies.. might be more common than Tigers. Mississippi? Next year you'll have more mascots than scholarship players :)

The alternate name for pod 4 was Aggies are Gators for Rebel Cock.
