McFadden is the guy I think of that should have gotten there.

If he hadn't split carries with Felix Jones, I think he could have gotten there.

Ingram wasn't even the best RB on his team, much less the SEC or the country.

Choked like a dog in the two IBs he played in.

Worst Heisman choice since John Huarte (who? - you can look it up) in 1964

McFadden was nothing more than the first Gus Malzahn system runningback.

Lol nope. McFadden rushed for over 1100 yards and 11 TD's in basically 10 games as a true freshman. That was before Malzahn even set a foot on campus.

Question: Who is the 3rd leading rusher in SEC history? (ahead of Bo Jackson) Answer: Kevin Faulk
KF should be in the Pantheon

Felix Jones

When both were at the top of their college game, there really wasn't much separation between Jones and McFadden when it came to pure running ability (McFadden also could pass).

emmitt made 3 first team all sec teams(87, 88, 89)

and in his first college start went on to run for 225 and lead uf to a big upset win over bama ended up a first round pick

best nfl back of all time too id say he had a pretty stellar career

Higher rushing average than Herschel Walker. Almost as many TDs. Almost three times as many receiving yards.

The difference, IMO, is the amount the teams relied on those guys for success. Alabama would ahve been successful without Ingram. He was surrounde by BIG talent. Without Bo or Herschel Auburn and Georgia would have been god, but not REAL good.

I would hope so, considering he ran it 206 more times.

Lots of great running backs....but for me the top 3 were Bo, Herschel and George Rogers.

McFadden made SEC defenses look silly like no other back not named Walker or Jackson. He was a dominant running back and should have won the 06 Heisman. Felix was good but not that good.

McFadden was a pure badars.

There's no denying he was one hell of a running back. As was the other guys mentioned in this thread. There was just something extra with Herschel and Bo.

who would that be barry sanders? lol barry had a playoff game where he had negative yards

emmitt on the other hand has games like the giants win where he ran for 160 or whatever and caught 10 passes with a seperated shoulder
