from what i hear, brown is under attack by a growing segment of tejas fans. they are really piqued that...........

1)will muschamp, their hciw is almost made the nc game (probably should go) and has florida going while they "got stuck" with the old good ole boy that wouldn't move over and let the young lion take the reins
2)a&m is getting all the in state pub and looks to tear up the recruiting this year. a&m's success in teh SEC is killing them as they know it's the best league and they are stuck in the big 12 to be ou's bitch
3) their recent turkey day game, traditionaly with a&m was a bust. they lost to baylor and the stadium had tons of empty seats and a very sedate crowd

imo, the SEC is getting into their heads big time. losing their heir apparent and their rival and continued SEC success is gonna get brown outta there. let's face it, all of college football is trying to catch up to the SEC; we are the standard.

I don't understand these other conference's business decisions. It's like they've never made one in their lives.

Who in their right mind couldn't see this coming? Jesus, you can't piss off your business partners whom contribute significantly and then force them to join your superior competitors where they will also contribute.

I have serious doubts about the viability of adding Maryland and Rutgers to the Big-10 as well. I understand there are more households there, but if you're not winning on the field with programs that have cache, your product will not hold value long term.

you're right of course, it was TCU. and to the poster that said they aren't going to fire brown i think he'll be pressured to leave. ultimately, the big donars and the season ticket holders and the press will make his job miserable and he'll negotioate an out.

Would love to see the Tigahs give Macky Mack an arse whippin' in the CB along the lines of that 40-3 beat down of Da U back in '05. That game started them on their steady slide to mediocrity they enjoy today.

The Texass power brokers, especially Daddy Deloss, would never can MB, no matter how he bitches about their network or how the fans bitch about him.

Texas can't go Indy, A&M left them with the kids (Tech and Baylor) in the divorce and they went out and even picked up another one in TCU which kicked their arse in front of a half empty DKR on Thanksgiving as thanks.

Texas has really painted themselves in a corner and it is non stop entertainment for Aggies to laugh at them. The latest of course is the complete butthurt jealousy over JFF. Mack even came out with the "It should go to the best player on the best team" argument. I guess he need to call Ricky Williams and have him send his back then.

Call Tebow while you're at it then

I can imagine. A&M is in a conference that's been around for right at 80 years. UT is in...well, whatever it is this particular year.

No you were correct. The school that played in Austin on Thanksgiving was Purple Baylor.

It is the same school as original Baylor, except they wear purple jerseys.

They have been pulling this charade for years.

I used to think that aTm kinda got screwed leaving for the SEC 1 year too soon. But with the epic meltdown about to happen with their rival and old conference, it has got to be pretty awesome. I remember when Boom left, most of them went thru the 5 stages and finally decided that he sucked arse anyways and they were better off. Oops
