None of the years before the Butch era started are even remotely relevant to our team right now. We can be in the thick of it, and even win championships with the right coach. Whether Butch can do it or not remains to be seen.

Nah, this is 2009. You look improved, embattled goofball coach, so close to getting over the hump, .500 season. It's a false hope season. Only difference is your coach who talks too much is staying. Unfortunately for you, he's in over his head.

He inherited the fricking king of all dumpster fires. That 2013 Tennessee team was REALLY bad. 5-7 seems like an achievement for how bad that team was. UT is in a great position to finish 9-4 this season. If he can maintain a 2 wins/season increase, we'll be 11-2 next season.

. obviously Butch has made massive improvements from the dumpster fire in 2013
Whoa hillbillie...please enlighten us as to what was a massive improvement? You beat three SEC teams, Vandy UK & USC in a down year for them. This year you beat UK, UGA in a really down year for them, Arkansas ditto. You still have those bastions of SEC football....Vandy, USC & Mizzou to play.
Maybe there will be improvement next year...but lets wait till August ...its a long arse off season. Dont know your schedule next year...but ours should be easier in 2016. UGA may be coached by someone other than Richt and who knows? Mizzou has QB problems big time and its to be expected with a true frosh QB....but damn he dumb. The QB is going to have to climb a mountain to improvement and that good defense is wasted. USC? I like the interim HC and he has youth and energy...whether he is hired? Dunno.
Vandy has very good defense and Ludwig needs a bus ticket to somewhere else as OC.
How will the west do? LSU will lose some talent on the OL and some some of defense but should be very strong...they come to the Swamp in 2016 though.Bama? Should be very good but not better than this year...status quo. Ole Miss? They will need run game to do damage. Miss State will drop some with the loss of Dakota Prescott. A&M? I think will be better....Arkansas is probably going to be slightly better? UF travels to Fayetteville. AU is a real question mark...we need immediate help on defense at every position and will need a strong run game to improve.
Should be another great year in the SEC....Im sure there will be surprise next year...one of the biggest was UF improving as much on offense and AU being mediocre. Does UT play AU next year on their rotation?

If nothing counts before Butch you have a .500 record and no SEC or national championships
Sad

Didn't read. Why do you insist on writing a fricking novel every time you post?
You've yet to produce a single sentence worth reading.
Just shut the frick up, NOBODY frickING CARES.

As bad as UT has played in close games this year and as inept as Botch coaches, they will be picked at least 2nd next year in the east...who else.
Speaking of the East they are now 1 win and 10 losses against the West this year with Vandy, Mizzou, and UGA all having one game remaining...plus Gators.
I thought 4-11 was bad last year.

The entire SEC East is a dumpster fire to include UF!

And I believe I've heard that accusation before but the funny thing is I can't recall anyone ever saying we were turning the corner except perhaps for the 2012 season where we had all world offense and what turned out to be an all time bad defense.
I haven't said it before but I'm saying it now: soon. Hell even this season has shown dramatic improvements over last season.

Tennessee still has Butch, so the threat isn’t overwhelming. Now Florida? Absolutely. McElwain is a hell of a coach, so I expect them to take over this division until UT and UGA get new head coaches.

As long as Richt is there it will not matter how much talent UGA has. If UGA gets a coach who can actually coach up his player then they will be one of the top teams in the east,
