That's dumb. If Kentucky was the one that finished in the top 5 that year you'd be singing a different tune and you know it.

Actually, no

I have said for years that to gain the most respect when everybody else is at the top. One year UK beat Alabama in CWS and everybody went ape sh*t about it. I was skeptical and sure enough, by seasons end Alabama was having one of its worst seasons. While happy with the win, it lost some flavor when it came against a bad Alabama team.

I know this is odd to some, but as an old school guy you want to beat the best when they are the best. Beating them when they are down is not as much fun. If UK ever won the east again (similar to UK winning with the Bear and Curci) it would be a dish best served when at least UGA, UF, and UT were having 8 to 10 win regular seasons.

If he's a Missouri fan, why he is bandwagoning USC? No other fan base does that except Missouri fans.

When you realize he's a 70 year old gay man who at one time was a secretary in some sports program in the South, it makes more sense.

If you guys beat Tenner, you would have been all alone in the Top 5. They had to pump up Mizzou after that loss in case they won the East.

If we would have beat SC, we could have finished higher than 5 as well, with 0 losses until the SECCG.

Damm that was a good year.

When a defensive coach like a muschamp finds a gem at qb good things happen. Idk how experienced your defense is but will can get em ready. He's a great defensive coach. Idk what happened at auburn but don't let that fool u. I think once he became a HC for years it was a tough adjustment for him to not be in control. Either way I think USC has a shot in the east.

Muschamp did a pretty decent job at Auburn. The base defense went from a 4-3 (mostly a 4-2-5, actually) to a 3-4, and that transition typically doesn't happen in one offseason. Even with the switch in scheme, Auburn was statistically better in the year he was there than the year before.

All 3 are members of The Six

Tennessee has 6 claimed MNC's (1938, 1940, 1950, 1951, 1967, 1998) including 1 in the BCS era, and is the 2nd winningest SEC football school behind Alabama. Vols also have 2 SEC CCG wins and have historically had one of the largest stadiums in the USA for FBS college football.

Georgia has 5 claimed MNC's (1927, 1942, 1946, 1968, 1980) and has at least 1 MNC in the ESPN era. Dawgs also have 2 SEC CCG wins. Stanford Stadium holds over 90,000 indicating a strong cfb presence.

Florida has 3 claimed MNC's (1996, 2006, 2008) and has at least 1 MNC in the BCS / ESPN era. Gators also have 7 SEC CCG wins. Ben Hill Griffin holds almost 90,000 and has shown strong football support in the ESPN era.

In national polls year after year these 3 schools in the east have historically carried the east in the publics eyes since the 1992 SEC expansion that split it into divisions. No other teams in the east have won a SEC CCG or a MNC in the modern era. This would be 2 acceptable pre requisites for the other 4 teams in the east to be included. In the modern era, making the CFP (a Final Four if you will) would also work. As the Tigers have never been to a Final Four I can understand your inability to process this.
