if you aren't an Alabama fan is the fact that this year isn't special. It is not like they have some senior QB that is peaking, or even a top 5 NFL draft pick RB that they are leaning on for victory.

This year is exactly the sum of the parts: when you recruit the number 1 class every year eventually you have the number 1 team. There is nothing special, no Cam, no Reggie Bush.

That means next year you can't expect them to be worse. Or the year after. Or any year until either Nick Saban retires or the NCAA comes after them or something.

When I consider all of that it makes me happy I decided to make Bama my second favorite team a few years ago, because everyone else is fricked.

That last part is rather interesting.

Well our oldest RB is just a sophomore.

yeah, just go to the SEC team forums and look at their recruiting boards.

LSU has a great class so far - 3 5 stars, 9 4 stars, and 7 3 stars. in line to pick up 8 or 9 4 stars, and maybe another 5 star or 2 in that group.

Alabama has Eight f***ing 5 stars committed, 11 4 stars and 3 3 stars.

most of the other SEC schools barely have any 4 stars. of course Georgia, florida, tenn and auburn get more than the others, but still, no wonder Alabama is winning. DAmn!

There is nothing depressing about it. They are beatable every year, it is just extremely tough because they are very well coached. Every team has strengths and weaknesses. Next year's team won't be the same as this year's.

Step off the ledge, welcome to grown up football.

Offense will be better, and our secondary will be better. DLine will be one of the best in the nation again. LBs will be young, but talented.

Congrats. You've reached the acceptance stage of the grieving process. Now the healing can begin.

I have been taking care of myself so I can live longer and see many years of football after Nick is gone.

But for now being a sidewalk Bama fan is an easy way to get through.

Yeah right. Like Bama turns away fans.

Even if they did I have to get in before the tree killing guy or the nutsack guy.
