Congrats on your runner-up finish in the East.

Last year, our most productive D-lineman was a true freshman.

You say most productive but is it true that he didn't start? I'm honestly asking because the "no lineman returning" stat came from Phil Steele, I really didn't know the details. That talent coming in that you described is why I said the Vols will be significantly better in 2015. I see another bad year for yall this year largely due to being young and a tough schedule. I'd predict 5-7, but could definitely see 9-3 for 2015.

we play UCF - which, according to some USCjr fans on here, was their signature win last year

We are going to smash you for the third time in a row, and it wont be signature worthy.

I'm going with Tennessee for the East.

Based on this past season, a season in which I watched a team I predicted to be 6-6 win the east.

This would not surprise me.

Way too early prediction: Mizzou wins in the other Columbia.

and yeah, good decision, basing your predictions on one one player from each team.

Well it's pretty easy to do when you're ignorant of other teams. I could just as easily say that I know Mizzou will depend on DGB to be their #1 receiver next year but that doesn't scare me at all.

Also, I'm not sure how you can say Mauk is more talented than Thompson.
Plus he's a 5th year senior that has been under Spurrier's wing and behind USC's greatest QB ever. Literally.
If he gets beat out by some other guy for the starting position, I'll feel very confident in whoever it is.

True, he didnt start. Steeles right, we have no returning starters on either side of the line. But we did have a lot of production from our backups who were mostly FR, RS FR, SO, or RS SO, so we wont see a huge dropoff from last year. And, with the massive influx of talent we get from this recruiting class, we might actually see improvement. But I agree, 2015 will be much more solid on both sides of the ball.

We do have a tough schedule, brutal in fact, and I could easily see us going 5-7/6-6 again. But if things go our way, we get a little luck and CBJ really is the coach that we all hope him to be, we could maybe squeak out 7 or 8 wins this season. But that is a HUGE maybe.

IMO 2015 is when we'll start competing for the SEC, and 2016 could be our year to make a splash on the national stage (assuming we continue to recruit at a higher level). But then again, i am a homer.

At the time, yes, most of us felt it was our best win. We didn't know Mizzou was going to go on to do what they did and we hadn't played Clemson yet. But I find it funny that you try to validate your OOC schedule by using UCF as an example of your best game while they were our 2nd best OOC game and we played them on the road.

Hold the phone...are you saying that you believe Dylan Thompson is more talented than Mauk?

Please explain the logic

Well that's great but I prefer stats and DT's stats are similar to Mauk's except Thompson has actually beaten some solid teams. And oh yea, throwing 222 in 2 1/2 quarters against y'all was terrible, we know.

Yes, his 0 points and 1 interception will surely be made into an episode of SEC Storied.

Are you dense? Where was I saying Mizz had a harder OOC schedule this year than USCjr did last year? Just pointing out that UCF is not a cupcake, and by USCjr fans own statements, their signature win from last year.
