Again, not every school that pinched OM was in the SEC

Not hearing that at all. It is clearly in play. Depends on how this all goes down

Are these the same voices you were "hearing" from back in your ATPB days?

Seriously, you were pushing so much of that shite with the Feds investigating Auburn and the Cecil Newton crap that anything you post now is laughable.

I am not saying ole miss isn't getting what it deserves, etc. I am just saying Slive would keep this contained. Sankey has not

This shite got to the NCAA level under Slive's watch.

Multiple sports, multiple coaches, multiple AD's + Academic Fraud under Slive.

Sankey just got Slive's sloppy seconds and got saddles with the football related allegations under Freeze's tenure.

Sankey is trying to look impartial to his colleagues from other Power 5 conferences - he is basically using Ole Miss' issues to display that he's not showing favoritism to the SEC.

He is a terrible commish and a giant count.

I don't want to start another Ole Miss/NCAA thread, so I'll ask this here:
Do you, as a rational Ole Miss fan, think that the University showed "exemplary cooperation" with the NCAA? I see a lot of Rebs mad because they are getting hammered even though they cooperated. I've never seen anything from the NCAA lauding OM for their cooperation. The NCAA attitude seems to show that they view OM as being anything but cooperative, imo.

It's very subjective. I'm sure our people were cordial with the investigators and tried to provide them with a lot of what they asked for when we could have not cooperated at all and had everyone just not talk and ignore the investigators. Kind of like in Wolf of Wall Street where they made sure the room was freezing for SEC regulators, I'm sure we could have made life miserable for the investigators. Not sure any alumni or boosters can be forced to talk to the NCAA and from what I've heard we encouraged people to be honest. We have a lot of alumni and former players who are mad that we didn't block certain things the NCAA was doing. I know there was something at Rebel Rags that people were furious with our administration about and could have prevented. But... I'm sure the NCAA believes we encouraged Tunsil to avoid the NCAA after draft night and tried to hide other things, which if I had to bet my house on, I'm sure we did. So to answer your question, I think we we were more cooperative than we should have been and other schools would have been, but we didn't turn in all of those violations so to me, "exemplary cooperation" goes out the window, which I'm sure is how the NCAA feels.

Wasn't Slives goal to have a probation free SEC ? I guess he left just in time.

I think you nailed it.
And the rumor I read was that the University ran a sting on Rebel Rags, wired informants and all, with an NCAA rep sitting in trhe parking lot observing the whole thing.
Bizarre

Yeah, there's been so many rumors I just go with, something happened at Rebel Rags. I do hope we didn't do anything that stupid tho.

Surprised no Ole Miss fans have jumped on where Sankey's daughter went to college.
