Not true. No one outside the South thinks of AL as any different than any other Southern state. They hate on the entire south as a whole. You should get out of MS. The inbreeding jokes apply to all of us equally. When we use them against each other, the Yankees win

This definitely isn't true.

That said, people certainly lump Alabama and Mississippi together.

Agreed. The funny thing is, I'm not so sure the "whole country" is going to be watching. Did you see the recent news about ESPN and the CFB ratings? You should see what happens when I tell them they didn't "beat themselves" against us but we in fact beat them. For example, does it look like Cyrus Jones beat himself on the following play, or does it look like Treadwell burned him and caught a TD pass?

The amount of people that boast their ignorance to the emotional connect between a team they root for always surprises me.

The fans are perhaps the MOST important element to any team, if we can lump all fans as one variable. Not only because they affect the players on the field while at the game... but if for no other reason, the money fans spend on their team year round are the sole reason teams exist at this level to begin with.

So yeah... I may not be on the field, but by god when Bama wins, "we won!" etc

I haven't watched a championship, playoff, or major bowl game since Auburn-FSU.

Frankly, I can't remember the last time I've seen Alabama play in the postseason. Why should I watch?

Then where in the hell were all of you during the late 90's and early 2000's? A decade of mediocrity crept up on you and you all ran and hid. 90% of Bama's fanbase are sidewalk fans and will disappear again the next time a run of a few bad years happen.

Of all the stupid things said about Alabama this is by far the dumbest.

Were any of you alive from 1997 - 2007? Alabama fans were laughed at for being overconfident and loud even when we sucked. We filled the stadium up. We always thought we'd be "back".

This notion that Alabama half filled the stadium and hid under rocks during bad times is just laughably stupid and contrary to everything rivals were saying during that time period.

Agreed. Alabama fans didn't bail during the "Mike years". We just bragged about the good old days and chalked up losing to the lack of depth caused by sanctions. We put up with a lot of shite from other fans which is why Bama's current Dynasty is that much more satisfying.

The more people bitch about refs or praying for Saban to take another job or retire or just get hit by a bus, the chubbier my chub gets.

This is the easiest fricking question of the day.

The real difference between Alabama fans and all other fans is they pull for Alabama to win????

what do I win?

That's the true difference, but evidently a lot of people have conned themselves into believing the correct answer is: "They's some rednecks and we ain't!!!"

I understand. Five in a row would kill my enthusiasm as well.

The real difference? Check out Jacknola's opening stanza to his schedule thread. Unfortunately, that moron evidently lives in New Orleans.
