The question no LSU fan wants to deal with: what if the problem wasn't Les?

The problems at UT were bigger than Fulmer
The problems at UGA were bigger than Richt
The problems at Texas were bigger than Brown

Now Chavis has come out and said that the admin was forcing Les out the door shortly after a championship run.

I'll concede that LSU is a premier school to coach at. LSU has a strong chance at a "home run" hire.

BUT

In your heart of hearts, ask yourselves this: if the problem isn't the current coach, can even a home run hire overcome it???

So you think it's the school president's fault that LSU hasn't been able to field a competent offense and not the HC/OC? Try to hide the fact you're an idiot a little better

The problem is clearly the current coach. However, there is always a chance we manage to bring in someone worse. However, the risk is worth it. We were stuck in the mud going nowhere with our current coach

No it's the AD's fault, or maybe the fan's fault for not demanding the AD get replaced:

-Joe didn't fire Les when he should have last year

-Joe didn't give Les an ultimatum about Cam after not firing him last year like should have been plan B

-LSU fans didn't demand Joe get fired after he fricked up the Les firing last year

-Joe fricks up and fires Les too early this year, probably threatening a decent recruiting class for no good reason

-Joe will get to pick the next coach despite all the incompetence

Its obvious what the problem is.

But I am sure the permanent plan to blackball Louisiana recruit's families to force them to come to LSU is so rock solid Joe can frick up the hire and they will still dominate right?

The problem was Les unable to change with the times. LSU will hire a good coach and be chasing titles in a couple of years. Until then it is going to be fun laughing at them while they are rebuilding. There will be inevitable growing pains and set backs. They would laugh at your team and mine if it happened to us. I plan on enjoying it. Nobody melts quite like LSU. My jaws are literally sore from laughing for 24 hours straight.

Your coach gets so publicly drunk he can't walk. And he never beat Miles.

I'm not sure about Fulmer and Richt, but the problems at UTx pretty much started and ended with Brown. Whether it was poor recruiting evaluation, poor assistant coaching hires or allowing the players to develop an attitude of entitlement, Mack Brown failed on his own.

I don't know if LSU made the right move at the right time, but canning Miles IS the right move. A school like LSU, with the kind of talent they bring in, cannot settle for a coach who cannot build a complete team. Miles has wasted far too much offensive talent.

No trash talk from me during this ordeal. After the Bobby P /JLS dumpster fire we endured I wish that on no one. I'm convinced the tigers will make a good hire. I hope they don't sell out to a spread guy because that won't be a good mesh in BR in my opinion. Balanced, Pro-Style seems more natural.
anyways, best of luck

My drunk coach stole Chavis from yall so I wouldn't brag about that.

And I would care if Les Miles was still coaching in the SEC.

If you are purely talking about wins and losses, the problem is definitely the offensive gameplan. No way around that. We fired the 2 guys with 100% control over that. So I don't see what you are getting at...

Now will changes happen to the offensive scheme before the end of the year? Probably not, thats way too much to do mid-season.

Do I trust Alleva to make the right higher? Absolutely not, but whats the alternative? Stick with what you know is never going to get you back to the top?

Haha the problem is with the university and not the HC/OC on the field. I did not know that the professors in Peabody Hall was calling the plays.

I don't see ANY LSU melt happening.

The Gumps are just projecting their fear of a competent offense in BTR...

There's been one constant: Les Miles. You geniuses are forgetting Gundy made it clear years ago about Miles.

I don't know if the whole problem was Les, but the lack of offensive production year after year had to go back to the head coach.
