Sumlin is a great coach and aTm is on its way to becoming a yearly national-title threat. Rantards are the only people that will argue that.

How is it that Freeze has been able to beat a top 10 team in just two years but it still alludes State going into year 6 with Dan?
Because a top 10 team didn't lay an egg against State in the 1st half?
To the OP's point, I agree that Hugh has Ole Miss on the incline but until y'all manage to improve on losing 6 out of the last 9 to both State and Vandy no one is going to believe it. Been a long time since Ole Miss has managed back to back wins over either school.
A couple more Cotton Bowls and Magnolia Bowl wins would go a long way though.

We gained 525 yards of offense. That's a pretty big fricking egg

Then what does it mean for Sumlin to have the same amount of wins as Les Miles, in Sumlin's first two years?
confusing sentence

Ole Miss is certainly trending up, but, considering the gauntlet of juggernauts in our own division sandwiching our small, impoverished state, a ceiling certainly exists.
That is precisely the kind of thinking that has led to an eternity of mediocrity. Neither LSU nor Alabama was a "juggernaut" until they hired Saban--in fact, both programs were badly decayed and had seen little success in a decade.
Texas A&M has not been a national power for a long time--even last year, they only went 8-4 and nearly lost to Duke in their bowl game.
Auburn went 0-8 in the SEC year before last....and have the serious disadvantage of having to share a relatively small state with another national power.....
The "juggernauts" exist in your head, which has been conditioned to think of your own program as inherently inferior ("A celing certainly exists")
The difference between Ole Miss and other SEC programs is mainly one of the mentality and culture surrrounding the program, nothing else--if you expect to be mediocre and consider it perfectly acceptable, that is what you will always be.

It isn't even rantards, it's just swamp kittens. But who cares what message board blowhards think? Ole Miss is on its way up as well if Freeze keeps recruiting well. The SEC West is almost so dangerous it's laughable. An SEC West team with 3 or four losses might be better than any other team outside the division in the entire country.

That's why I keep saying that MSU should just hire Saban.

Aggy and Ole Miss share in finishing 3rd place in the west and going to the cotton bowl as being the ceiling of the program.
Both are pinning their hopes on gadget offenses to make up for a lack of defense.

You don't think Ole Miss' team and coaching staff had anything to do with that?

As opposed to Bert, who is just pinning back his ears and diving straight into a pool of mashed potatoes.

We will take tying the series record after we run that fat bastard off the field again.

Call us delusional again.

We don't need to respond to him anymore. Ever.

goes without saying, doesn't it? It's so easy to get sucked in.

A "gadget" offense gave Arkansas its highest finish in the final polls in 50 years. Bielema gave Arkansas it's first winless conference record since World War 2 began.

I was only kind of kidding.

Mettenberger had no time to throw
Also, we had nine motherfricking defensive starters out for the game.

True.
I was referring to our offense pulling a Denver in the first half. Not that Mett remotely compares to Peyton, but it was pretty atypical for our offense to completely implode for an entire half.
After the UGA game, it was pretty clear LSU's defense was in serious decline mode relative to 2011.
Ole Miss's offense did get the job done and they deserve credit. Freeze also gained 463 against us in 2012. In 2011, Nutt managed just 195.
