All the talk about Aggies being rich was a lie?

And that is what I said on Page 1.

Right now no other game is on Thursday except A&M/LSU.

If you're playing Florida the Saturday before and we're playing UTSA I think the short week clearly favors us, since you'll be in a much more physical game. I could care less about moving it to Saturday if it wasn't for that.

Thanksgiving is an expensive time to fly. A lot of people already have plane tickets booked and hotels booked. Many would have time to figure it out but many others would have to cancel their plans to come to the game and eat the cost of plane tickets.

Not trying to be an arse but do you think the SEC really cares about fans travel plans when trying to find away to get this game in?

I would mainly be pissed about moving senior night.
that too but say this year when TAMU looks to be one of the favorites to win the west if all of the sudden you went from road SEC game, home cupcake, road SEC game to road SEC game, road SEC game, road SEC game to close out the year you would be livid. you would have to be because your chances of winning the west just took a major hit.

you would never agree to it and you shouldn't agree to it especially when it was completely avoidable in the first place. UForfeit either through bad intentions, incompetence or both created this mess and other SEC members are going to feel the effects either directly or indirectly. all the "melt" and troll posts this weekend aren't going to be so funny when it is your team getting screwed.

TBH, frick thanksgiving games. They were a thing we did a few years with the fricking longhorns, but it was NOT a yearly tradition until the late 80s/early 90s. It sucks. We are competing with the fricking NFL, and did I mention it sucks?

Play the game on Friday and every asswipe college football fan will watch it too. Or Saturday. No matter.

let Aggies have their Thanksgiving game

I think they are trying to share a special tradition with us and we aren't being very gracious.

Personally I am going to see if Old Sarge can get me into a a tailgate, and get me dibs on a drumstick.

It should but if you have guys nicked up then it helps moving the game back. I think Sumlin would take the 2 extra days

How about we don't move the LSU/A&M game, make UF buyout the FSU game, and LSU grows a pair of balls and plays on 2 days rest.

Unless Sumlin wants the extra 2 days to rest up the SECCG.

I doubt they've even had the discussion yet but it would be interesting know how our coaching staff feels about it and what their preference would be

You are probably right about TV being the biggest reason, and about A&M's indifference from a competitive standpoint (there's a school of thought that we would be better off having LSU play Florida 7 days before our game than playing a creampuff five days before). But Thanksgiving weekend travel is part of the discussion. Not only do you have fans travelling to the game who can't change plans (even if they want to, its probably too late to book flights that weekend on many routes), but you also have fans who have made plans to travel after the game and take advantage of the long weekend.

Maybe they decide that, in the end, playing all 8 conference games matters the most, but it will be given some consideration. I sure hope that if the A&M-LSU game is moved, we get some consideration out of it. LSU hasn't exactly been overly accomodating to A&M when it comes to scheduling issues, historically. Hell, LSU wouldn't even let our band perform at BR last year.

they are going to wait and see what happens at a minimum to UT vs Bama

They can't afford for UT to get the shaft. If Lsu gets the shaft it will be a well you didn't play well with UF you made your bed.

After literally saying that we would play anywhere they want at any time Sat, Sun or Mon I just hope that if LSU plays Florida they don't cave to shite from the SEC or Florida. That 3 road games in 12 days better not happen. I also agree A&M shouldn't have to be asked to move anything. We aren't running the fricking table so I really hope that our weak arse AD steps up here and makes this really rough for Sankey without hurting any other SEC school other than Florida.

I'm sorry but the fans are near the bottom of the list of cares. The school can make arrangements for the senior day traveling, but the regular ole fan isn't one though for a&m. If Sumlin thinks he has a better shot to beat us then he will move the game back.

eta pending tv being willing to work with us.

which they likely will be considering the SEC is a long long long term partner. They aren't going to spite the sec over one weekend. Some concessions will be made.

As much as I don't like the Aggies, making another school move their game due to floridas cowardice as fans make reservations and plans and stuff
