Why does that matter when Baylor has better quality wins?

Because the season is 12 games long. Simple.

This wouldn't have happened to UT or Oklahoma. Matter of fact, if this was UT and if it meant Ohio St would be on the outs, Ohio St would be on the outs. Ratings and name recognition are important.

Who gives a shite about the last 2 TDs? Anyone can see that OSU absolutely beat the snot out of them. The committee saw the same 2nd quarter scores we all did and said WTF?

So the committee is all about what teams have done lately rather than the "body of work" as they profess.

In other words, the committee has taken all objective criteria out and replaced them with the "eyeball test."

Welcome back, 1997. We have regressed.

They didn't run up the score. Did you watch the game? I think they only thing they could have done differently is take a knee the entire 4th quarter. Wisconsin just couldn't stop the run.

This. If Balor was named Texas, they would be in.

A cupcake is a cupcake. It is unfortunate for Ohio State that they lost to one of the cupcakes on their schedule.

The entire thing. They ran up the score.

We've covered this and that fact is irrelevant. Clearly the guy is good. This may have even put Wisconsin at a disadvantage because they had no game film on him.

OK, so we've dealt with the "running up the score" bullshite.

You just don't want to give OSU credit for all of their quality wins. A win doesn't have to be against a ranked team to be "quality". Clearly, the committee felt that a sound beating of a conference co-champion...a conference that before this year was a BCS conference...was quality.

Enumerate Ohio State's quality wins for me, then.

You obviously haven't been paying attention. The Hokies are bowl eligible. Hardly a cupcake.

Makes you wonder why more teams don't play their third string QBs in conference championship games these days, eh?

I bet I've been paying more attention to them than you. As I said before....this is the WORST VIRGINIA TECH TEAM IN TWO DECADES.

Literally. Worst team since 1992. My neighbor is a Hokies fan. Won't stop going on about it.

Virginia Tech needed a second half comeback against UVA on the last weekend of the season to get their 6th win. They are, in fact, lucky to be going bowling. Ohio State is also lucky they are going bowling. Frankly, the should be 5-7. I know, I watched the VT-UVA game.

You actually didn't name one, though.

ETA you mean Cincinnati?

They beat MSU and a fairly weak Wisconsin. After that, their schedule is a bunch of Disney Princesses. And Jasmin spanked that arse.

What quality wins are you looking at?

Sagarin rates OSU's SOS slightly better than Baylor's. The OOC no doubt is part of the reason why. Baylor's was absolute shite. At least OSU played decent-to-good teams.
