The officials were really bad during the UT game.

The refs obviously either had money against the Vols covering the spread or were paid off. Take your pick. It was that bad against our favor. They stole three TDs from us at least with drive killing calls.

Refs always favor the extreme underdog in these games. It is just a way to help keep things from getting completely out of hand, and usually the much better team is still capable of exerting their will. For instance, in UT Martin game, refs allowed their DBs to get away with plenty of PI and they gave them a TD that was quite clearly not a catch either inbounds or out of bounds.

Sorry that you found out that yall are mid again. Please don't blame the refs. It's embarrassing.

Oh so the refs were the reason Tennessee looked like dogshit against an FCS team

College officiating is terrible in all sports. These kids deserve better especially in the big time conferences.

Refs were abysmal. That’s still no excuse for the receivers dropping a million passes and the horrific pass protection. Also, the play calling was disappointing.

You're a mid too this year...you would know that if you played anyone this year.

It was mentioned on one of the radio shows (Matthew maybe?) that the head official is from the conference but the rest of the crew was composed of refs from smaller conferences who were hoping to become SEC officals. Apparently they sometimes use games like that as 'try outs' for wannabe SEC refs.

I don't think 'try outs' went well given the media reaction.

Zebras have been terrible in practically every game I've watched this season. I hope it doesn't bite the Dawgs in the arse because there were some piss-poor calls and non-calls all season.

Nobody can stop that record breaking Vol offense but Austin Peay?
