So all any team has to do to get on this list is start marking the yard lines in pink? Seems legit.

In a list with Boise State or East Washington I'm glad Kyle isn't on it.

But hey congrats on Neyland being on the list, I definitely want to watch a game there some day.

Still mad (oops) about the Cotton Bowl beatdown after all these years.

I actually missed that game since I was on deployment. And on a submarine we didn't have the luxury of watching sports games.

Every gladiator arena has those. Y'all don't any longer? You used to.

what exactly would you say makes it unique?

And remember, we’re ranking playing surfaces, not the stadiums that contain them.

I bet it's the checkered endzones, the ones they copied from Legion Field.

Nothing worse than obese southern jokes you fat fricking yankee. Oh, except maybe a fricking yankee that comes down here to our schools then talks hypocritical shite - 'cause there is nothing worse than a hypocrite, but you yankees seem to have an inordinate amount of those.

Lol, at all of this.

Tennessee also has the most unique hundred dollar handshakes. since there is not a good recruiting base in Tennessee, Tennessee has had to pay more money to players over the years than other programs.

Looks like it must be the 3rd-4th quarter of the game. Take a look at the stands.

Yeah, they finally got to be cool and hip when Tennessee started using them. Imagine that.

The idea for the Vols’ checkerboard end zones came from former Tennessee football coach and athletic director Doug Dickey. When Dickey took over as coach in 1964, he had the end zones painted with the checkerboards.

There’s also the fact that Dickey may have subconsciously gotten the checkerboard idea from the fact Birmingham’s Legion Field used to have checkerboard end zones dating back to the 1940s.

Looks like UT copied Bama. Nice tradition

The checkerboards came from the checkerboard brickwork on Ayers Hall.

Neyland used to tell the football players to "Run to the Checkers" during drills. Dickey caught wind of this.....and there you go.

I'm sorry, but Neyland is a shite hole.

It has a huge capacity, thanks to the some of the most cramped seats in all of sports, and it has a cool location, right on the river.

But outside of that it's a run down POS.

It's like have a 20 year old beat up van that can seat 16 people. It doesn't matter how many it seats when it's that old and crappy.

I say this unbiasedly. Legion Field used to be the biggest shite hole in the conference, till Bama stopped playing there.
