He is not committed to A&M. His Dad played for A&M and most recruiting experts consider A&M a heavy favorite, though.

I understand the team is very good.

Kyler Murray is still one of the ten best players in 2015, his ranking be damned.

In terms of all-time greatest A&M quarterbacks:

1. Johnny Manziel
2. Kevin Murray
3. Bucky Richardson
4. Corey Pullig
5. Ryan Tannehill
6. Jerrod Johnson
7. Stephen McGee
8. Reggie McNeal
9. Dustin Long
10. Mark Farris

This being said, I fully expect Kyle Allen to win the job from Kenny Hill. I hope Kyle Allen leaves after his junior year so we get two years of Kevin.

Yep we ain't exactly what you would call QBU but we have had a few really good guys at that position.

Last year at the State Championship he was wearing an A&M bracelet and his Dad named him "Kyler" after Kyle Field. That said, he isn't an A&M lock because he will literally have offers from everyone before all is said and done. If he goes elsewhere though it would be as painful for Ags as Peyton going to UT though.

His game is actually not really like JFF's. He does a lot of Read Option and that isn't Johnny's game. He is much further advanced as a passer than Johnny was at his age which is likely because his Dad is not only a former QB but one of the top QB coaches in the country and it shows with Kyler. There are a lot of college QB's that aren't anywhere as close to refined as he is. He's more like RGIII in a lot of ways than JFF.

He does need to put on some weight and hopefully he will grow another couple of inches. He only turned 16 in August. If he was a little bigger he would be the consensus #1 prospect in 2015 in all likelihood, his resume is essentially perfect. 2 Straight Titles and MVP's leading what is arguably the best HS program in the country and playing in a stadium that is better than most FCS schools. Here is a pic:

He will be as prepared for college football as anyone has ever been. Doesn't mean he will succeed but certainly he is as safe of a bet as you can make. He has only lost 1 game in 2 years playing at the highest level of Texas HS football and this year playing the toughest schedule.

The irony is his most impressive game was not the Championship, it was the week before against Desoto. Crap weather with a wind that made his passing game almost impossible and his team was down by 15 in the 4th. He leads them to a win by rushing for a 24 yard TD with 11 seconds left. Kid isn't just a talent, he's a winner just like his Dad.

Kid is just fun to watch.

Solid list but I would add Edd Hargett and Gary Kubiak above Long and Farris for sure, maybe higher. Both were NFL QB's, Hargett led the '67 Cinderella team that won the SWC and beat Bama in the Cotton while Kubiak was Elway's backup for 9 years in Denver before becoming a coach.

When I say his game is similar I mean he has a similar play-making ability. He also moves very much like JFF in the open field, that much is self-evident from the OP's link. I understand he's not spit and image, but if you don't see some JFF in that clip I don't know what to say.

It is undoubtedly cleaner since it is brand new. Other than that, you're full of shite. I mean that in a nice way. Sort of.

Went to their old one way back in the day. I wouldn't mind if my sister did Royales or something so I had an excuse to see it when they played West.

Allen kids love their high school though, plenty went to A&M. I know some people are really anti-mega high school, but I loved mine. Really specialized and you had access to the best resources. I'm totally supportive of Allen's model and wish more than just Allen and Plano did things like that.
