Wherever he goes he'll be marked the next JFF. He has a very similar style of play.

It's something he won't escape. But fortunately for him, since JFF never won a title, Kyler doesn't have to worry about meeting and exceeding impossible expectations.

I don't believe that going to A&M prevents that in any way, or anyone other than a fan has that perspective. You might be right, but I have never heard of a kid not going somewhere primarily because he thought shoes were too big to fill. Not to be rude, I just simply don't believe you.

True but he will get it tenfold if he goes to A&M

It's not really filling the shoes, it's making his own shoes. Again, not saying he doesn't go there, but there isn't a "lock" he is going there. I do think he is College Station bound come '15 NSD though

And I know the Murray family through Calvin if that makes you feel better

He can "make his own shoes" in Aggieland.
A recent Heisman winner isn't going to prevent that; on the contrary, it shows evidence of a coach & culture who can get it done.
Kid doesn't strike me as the type to avoid a challenge.

Good Lord!It looks like Johnny in black-face. The drop-back, foot work, throwing motion, speed, and cuts are all identical. He'd be a fool not to want to play in Sumlin's system. Bring him home, coach!

Again just doesn't sound plausible to me. That sounds like a fan or relative's concerns, but that doesn't sound like an opinion coming from him. Not saying your wrong, I just don't believe you.

It doesn't have an affect on my opinion one way or the other.

The A&M roster should play no role whatsoever in Kyler's decision.

Any QB's that can't be happy backing Kyler up would be allowed to transfer.

I see greatness when I watch this young man play and I hope he decides to become an Aggie!

Carrying the ball like a loaf of bread won't serve him well in the college game. Also, he obviously has a superior OL in those clips; he had all day to find a receiver and throw the ball.

He will set a record with the number of times he fumbles. Otherwise is a good looking player.

He's only 16, maybe 17. If we land him, it'll probably be September of 2016 before he takes a snap in a college game. He can grow.

Manziel is a 4.5 guy, and is exactly 6 feet tall.

Kyler is still only 16, was just named the USA Today 1st team AA at QB (the only junior on either the first or the second teams), and already has two state titles as starting QB. He'll go for three next year.

He's not an iron-clad lock to go to A&M, but it would be very surprising for him to go somewhere else. He and his Dad know and like this staff and are pretty close to the team. They have also given no indication that they are worried about A&M's depth at QB, nor that Kyler would want to go elsewhere.

Kyler was just named First Team USA Today All-American, the only junior in the country to earn a spot on the first or second team.

But yeah, perhaps his success is just an illusion conveyed by his talented teammates.

An obnoxious white boy vanilla ice wannabe who runs like a jail break convict when plays ball? Just my opinion, but the best player on A&M this year wasnt manziel, but Mike Evans. Mike Evans is a BEAST.

To be fair his team is really talented. Their football team pulls from 6k kids. I don't know enrollment number across the country, but that makes it one of the biggest in the country easily.

His ability to move in the pocket is what impresses me. A&M got a steal in this kid if he remains an aggie!
