Flip a coin and play it in Tuscaloosa or Tallahassee with profits split. It should have been a home and home anyways. Screw these minor league NFL games in NFL stadiums.

Play it here in Jacksonville again.

We'll let you borrow Kyle for a small fee.

Aren't yall collecting enough rent moneys from the LSU's, Alabama's, and Auburn's of the world, since each of the schools rents out Kyle every other year to enjoy their home away from home football party?

I agree. NOLA was able to make enough renovations to the Superdome after Katrina that they are able to host major events. The Georgiadome could have done the same, rather than starting completely over.

The GA Dome was pretty dumpy, and very vanilla, it deserved to go. Compared to most other NFL stadiums, it was not up to par.

The bigger thing ATL fans question is abandoning Turner Field downtown which was built 20 years ago for a new field outside the perimeter of Atlanta...

I think it's about time to retire the Superdome. Don't be shocked if the Saints talk about leaving if they don't get a new stadium in the next 5-10 years.

New Orleans has the French Quarter as their main draw for events, Atlanta, doesnt really have much, its all so spread out.

Every major city has stuff to do. There is nothing I'd care to do directly by NRG, but Houston just hosted a hell of a super bowl and host endless sporting and non sporting event less.

That was all the city of Atlanta's fault. They offered to stay for a minor upgrade, especially in comparison to the cost of the new MB stadium. Kaseem Reed said, "it's too rich for our blood" I want to say the reno was 400 million and a new 20 year lease.

Turner Field is not abandoned... They've begun renovations for Georgia State football. It's gonna look pretty good when complete.

Sounds pretty close to abandonment.

No way in hell that happens. I think the Super Bowl victory assured the Saints will be in New Orleans for the foreseeable future.

It is. I'd rather watch a game in the Georgia Dome than the Superdome.

Here's a link to GSU's Turner Field location renderings...

Turner Field for football...

Baseball stadium on old Fulton County Stadium baseball field footprint(currently a parking lot)...

If these actually happen it's pretty sweet for a mid major...

Also a large mixed use development...

It is all about the new stadium. Unless your Greenbay or Chicago you can only make an old one last so long.

The Superdown opened in 1975 which makes it one of the oldest in the NFL. Only GB, CHI, KC, & BUF have older ones.

There have been a handful of newer stadiums then the Superdome already get replaced.

Looks good particularly if the crowds actually match that drawing. Do you know what Ga State currently gets in attendance?

How come this never happened with a freaking major league baseball team there but is going to happen with Ga State football as the anchor? Part of the problem with Turner field is that it was a wasteland around it and NOW they are going to be able to revitalize and bring in other commercial, recreational, and higher end residential? How are they doing this?

it's funny they waited until after the braves left to make plans for a rail line that actually goes to the stadium and not have the surrounding area a shite hole

so the city of atlanta is willing to finance this but wouldn't front the money to keep the braves in fulton county? makes zero sense
