LSU fans are always the most disappointed, by default.

I'm disappointed in you as a person.

I think some others teams that are disappointed are USCe, A&M (after their roadtrip to USCe), & GA.

But, I'm also disappointed in Auburn. I thought we had a great shot of anywhere from 9-12 wins. I started to get nervous at K-state. We didn't have the same chemistry or the same feel as last year. We are obviously missing some critcal pieces on & off the field.

The way we quit in the Georgia game was the most disconcerting loss since 2012. No fire, no want, just phoning it in. I hope we can turn it around by the Iron Bowl.

Auburn definitely has been disappointing but I think LSU has been the most disappointing team. Lofty expectations with Fournette and an improved defense coming in but have looked like a high school team on offense most of the year. The way they collapsed after the Ole Miss win was pathetic as they cruise their way to a 5 loss season.

This has been an incredibly disappointing season....but why is nobody mentioning UGA? They whipped us, sure...but are they just so conditioned to underachieving that no one even cares anymore?

Most rational LSU fans expected 3-4 losses, just not a shutout to Arky. Other than that, the win/loss record is playing out as predicted.

I would say lsu... But I'm not delusional and I expected this kind of year.

It quite possibly could be true for many AU fans such as myself. I was absolutely expecting AU to compete for the titles (SEC, NC). Was it going to be tough to do? It sure was and our team couldn't answer the call this season.

They really thought they were going to win the SEC and National Championship. They thought they had the best team.

Why wouldn't we? Do you and others teams come off of a NC run the year before and go into the next year thinking you won't compete for the championship? Of course I'm going to claim AU had the best team going into this season?

Does this calm the expectations for next year or do they think they will run the table?

No not at all. I expect Auburn to have a chance to compete for the championships again in 2015.

And it shouldn't what with all of your offensive and defensive starters returning next year

Agreed, I think it is interesting how happy they are losing to two unranked teams this year and underachieving once again. You must be right that they are used to watching others bring home trophies. I guess winning their superbowl last week made them feel like champions.

My recollection is that most Auburn fans thought we would have a good team but that we had a really tough schedule. It was very unusual to see anyone predicting we run the table, most fans thought we would end with at least two and more likely three losses during the regular season.

If we win this weekend and lose to Bama that will be four losses during the season. A disappointment for sure, but not something out of the blue.

Talk to SC, LSU, and A&M for bigger let downs.

Most rational LSU fans picked 3-4 losses. We might lose 5 but I doubt it.

Maybe honesty isn't a year around thing.

In August, Auburn was going to score 50 points a game. Gus had finally had a QB come back for his second year. This alone was going to keep any team from having a chance against AU.

All year boasting about how good you are ad nauseum, that winning the national championship is all that matters(atleast that's what you've been saying to UGA fans), and that you all melted this week as if you were dipped in boiling cow manure tells a different story.

None of this happened, but welcome to the site now that UGA won.
