My dad is a member on that site. I am going to read up and bring back any goodies that have not been mentioned.

Dude, it's like $8 / month. Get a subscription. There are several posters on that board with "inside sources" that are usually right 9 / 10 times. Well worth it in my opinion.

W&L posts rarely and I've never seen him miss. He nailed the Julio/Ingram fishing trip, Dareus suspension, and was one of the only people sticking to "Saban will be our coach" talk after Rich Rod snubbed us. He's consistently dead on about recruits and things of that nature as well. I'm guessing he is his own source - meaning he works in the Bama AD, OR whoever his source is does. Either way, in my 3 years on BOL, I don't recall him being wrong, and he is probably the most revered members of that site.

For him to "put his neck out there" is BAD, BAD news for Auburn, IMO.

He knows what's up.

He has missed a couple of times but not when the true nuts and bolts of things come down usually

And finally, if leadership can be brought to the forefront, (and yes, this is the only prediction about which I cannot put forth what I consider strong evidence), you will be kicked out of the Southeastern Conference in a unanimous vote.

I'm wondering if he is in fact referencing the Mike Slive and his dragging of feet, hoping it goes away quietly scenario everyone keeps forgetting. He was knowingly pissed and trying to cover his arse with that lame statement, and MSU found the necessity to circumvent the SEC on it's second submission.

Just trying to put two and two together here......

I highly doubt that auburn would be kicked out of the SEC. I think he was being a little over dramatic there.

Depending on what the FBI finds (in the way of money laundering, illegal use of donations, illegal use of tuition, etc) I can see it happening. I would be shocked if it does though. But yeah, from the tone of all that it kinda sounds like there has basically been a coup at Auburn, the boosters have taken over, and they have gone rogue.

maybe I'm naive but I hope it's not that bad... I could easily believe that some boosters have done something wrong at Auburn and they paid Cam

But the idea the institution is that dirty? Gawd, I hope not

If they were they might deserve to be booted but I would be really depressed to lose a program like Auburn... they are such a storied and important member of the SEC

I can't even imagine something like that happening to any other school in the SEC. Auburn is rotten at the top and has been for quite some time.

Interesting that you bring up Slive. Here's W&L's take on Slive...
quote:

slight clarification. Slive sat on the material because he knew (1) it was explosive and would recreate the image of the SEC as a rogue conference. If auburn is 8-3 right now we probably dont have this discussion..and (2)Mississippi did not give him copies of the tapes because they did not trust him to do the investigation in the first place, but they did tell him about them.

Once Auburn began to win, and it appeared they would have a chance to go to Glendale, there were 17 million other reasons Slive told MSU in October that it might be "another month to 6 weeks" before the Cam situation got resolved.

Slive is in deep doo doo..sorry BOL

Holy shite. Are you telling me Auburn Athletics could be tied to state gambling interests? In that case Cam really is just the tip of the iceberg. Auburn could be shot to hell and never recover

The Cam problem seems to have been a extra gift from FBI wiretaps.
