Cuonzo Martin was their coach. He never failed to win 19 games at a deteriorating program. Went to Sweet 16 in third year.

Tennessee replaces him with two terrible coaches who never win 19 games and pretend they got the better deal

Never seen anything like it...

Rick Barnes has been to the Elite 8 more times than Cuonzo Martin has been to the NCAA tourney iirc

Whatever makes you feel better, but Cuonzo is terrible. We almost didn't make the tourney and had three NBA players in the roster. You will be disappointed.

Dude, I'm like, uh, real excited for you but good gosh man, how many freaking threads are you guys going to start in relation to your basketball program? It's a damn new thread every 10 minutes. Get over yourselves. You're as bad as the Clemson fans.

has mizzu ever won a national title in anything? Serious question. Me peronally i dont watch college basketball to care about any of it. But the rant has been full of mizzu post acting like they have the best hire ever. Seems to me they celebrate anything.

He also inherited a mess from Tyndall, unlike Clownzo, who walked into a golden situation following Bruuuuuce.

Again, OP, you said Barnes is terrible yet his track record takes a healthy shite on Zo's.

Cuonzo took over from a program that just finished 19-15. Pearl was forced out due to cheating. Cuonzo got little support from Tennessee. He left.

Now you were left with Tyndall and a Rick Barnes well past his prime

Martin under-performed for the talent he had left over from Pearl. Pearl was a very charismatic coach that got Vols fans caring about men's basketball for the first time in a long time. Following him was going to be tough for anyone, but Martin was very stoic and just didn't connect to the fan base.

The Tyndall hire was a really poor decision. Realistic Vols fans readily admit this.

The Tennessee coaching position was in much a less desirable situation when Barnes came in compared to when Martin came in. He may be past his prime, but Barnes is stabilizing our program and looks to be moving in the right direction.

Good luck with Martin. Could be a solid hire for Mizzou.

I think Barnes is a good coach. He'll continue to right the ship.

Wasn't this the last season that Mizzou basketball didn't finish last?

Yeah, they've been last for the past 3 seasons. Martin might dig them out of that hole, especially if they pull all the recruits that the rumors say they might.

Do not believe. Barnes is universally considered the greatest coach of all time.
