Babe Ruth - Alabama. He didn't really go there, but they claim him.
Even Bama fans should find that funny!

Todd Walker, Eddy Furniss, Dave Magadan, Will Clark
It's hard to say a pitcher is the best ever, but Ben McDonald did win the Golden Spikes award.

He played QB too?
Peyton and Eli's back ups both play for the Rockies.

9/10
Come on Bama fans, give credit where credit is due.

Chuck Norris never played college baseball. And even if he did....he would've played way before Lee. therefore...your statement is impossible.

Have to change the topic to Greatest SEC Softballer of All Time to get Bama fans to click.

Peyton was actually TH's backup until an injury forced him in.
TODD HELTON, starting QB at UT over Peyton Manning.
GOAT.

If you check out my post from this weekend, you'll see where the current 14 SEC teams have sent 613 players to the Major Leagues. As for Georgia Tech, Tulane, & Sewanee, those schools sent another 76 to the Majors.
I seriously doubt that Helton is the very best of the group.

Would you grant that he may be top 3?

This would be a novel concept for them, I think it's still a little too confusing at the current time.

Until criteria are established, I don't know that anyone can grant anything.

I'd put him in the top 38 or so.

He was a helluva ballplayer until right around the time they started testing major leaguers. The issue here is, are we allowed to consider his major league career?

Ehhh, not really even top 3.
Will Clark, Rafael Palmeiro, Alvin Dark, Chad Ogea, Ben McDonald, Bo Jackson, Frank Thomas, Dave Magadan, Glenn Davis, etc., etc., etc.
He's certainly one of the best though, and arguably better than some I listed above off the top of my head, but I wouldn't say top 3.

Babe Ruth passed the "eye" test.
