The Great Heisman Heist!!!

The 2nd worst defense (MSU) is ranked 38th nationally. Only Arky fell below the 50 mark at 73.
The best defense in the Big-12 (Texas) ranks 50th nationally.
For what it's worth, Arkansas would rank 5th in the Big-12 in total defense.
To its credit Texas played an SEC team. . .Arkansas.
To say that Okie and the Horns played no defenses of note is obvious, and thus makes McCoy and Bradford pretenders, as far as top-3 finishers go. How both finished above Tebow is an absolute travesty.

Maybe Big 12 defenses are so bad because the Big 12 offenses are so good and SEC defenses are so good because SEC offenses are horrible

I wouldn't...aside from UF, Bama, and Ole Miss (and sometimes UGA), the SEC offenses have been extremely inconsistant.
I love that we'll see the result in the Bowl games and see who all the pretender conferences have been, and who's for real.

Aside from OU, UT, TTech, and Mizzou, the same could be said about the Big-12.

Oklahoma State, Nebraska puts up a ton, Kansas puts up big time points, Baylor even puts up a lot.
Aside from those 8......then yea

I think that's what makes me think the Big 12 can't possibly play good defense... Baylor is scoring.

All three were deserving, but I think for Tebow to get his team back to the NC game thru the #1 team in the Nation should have been enough.
Tebow DID have the most first place votes.
I think Tim will just have to show it on the field in the NC game where the trophy should have gone.
Side note...didn't McCoy look ridiculously small next to Tebow in the uniform shots with all three standing together?

Funny, how Oklahoma and USC each have 3 Heisman trophy winners since 2000. I guess they just have better players year in and year out than the vast majority of the remaining Division 1 schools combined. Those last two heisman trophy winners from Oklahoma have gone on to do some wonderful things.

I definitely think the SEC is having a down year, mainly due to my team laying a big egg this season, but I think it's pretty funny that this quote comes from a Buckeye fan.

Same story with the ACT. Both the Heisman and the ACT are not very good predictors of future success. They are what they are.

Bradford looks like he has Mick Jagger-esque woman's hips. I would genuinely be surprised if he in fact had a penis.
To not give Tebow the Heisman this year is idiotic, plain and simple. And as people around here know, I think Tebow is a buffoon (although he is growing on me, he was just annoying as all hell to watch/see/listen to last year and after the Ole Miss game this year).

That's exactly it.
We've historically always been a strong defensive conference and we put out more defensive players to the NFL than any other conference, so they say.
And there are some folk who post here who think our offenses aren't as wide open as the Big 12 because we either lack superior offensive players or have weak coaching and at some point they will realize that's not the case. And those same folk are easily enamored by Big 12 offenses.
