That sanctimonious bunch has their collective head further up their arse than PSU's cult. Make no mistake, they should not be allowed to play another down of football for at least a year if not more (personally, I say kick them out of the NCAA altogether) but it's not going to be a sword they voluntarily fall on.
If the 52 rapes is true, they will shut it down. They will fight it, but if it turns out to be true, SACS will pull their accreditation (They are currently on accreditation probation - announced at the last SACS meeting). They will kill the football program to save the school. The Big 12 will not survive, and Baylor will be a Conference USA school at best.
Hell the Big 12 just pulled 25% of their revenue share. Its going to get ugly on the Bravos. The projections are that the university has lost $223 million in donations because of the scandal. The alumni of Baylor are livid. The administration may be Auburn-like with Alabama dreams, but their alumni base is Samford.

That list is at least 10 years Old. Auburn has not had a case since Eric Ramsey in the 80s.
15 most unethical programs... LINK
Alabama
Mike DuBose took over at Alabama after a successful run by Gene Stallings, but the program recorded only two bowl appearances under his watch. The highlight of DuBose’s tenure was a 10-3 record in 1999 but that year also brought plenty of controversy. Alabama booster Logan Young paid Means’ high school coach to have the top recruit join the Crimson Tide, which brought on an extensive hit from the NCAA. Alabama was banned for two years from postseason play and were forced to reduce 21 scholarships. This incident wasn’t the only one in recent years for the Crimson Tide, as the program was forced to vacate 21 wins from 2005-07 as a result of a textbook scandal.
School Seasons Sanctioned
Southern Methodist 17 Seasons 7 Times
Southern California 15 Seasons 6 Times
Auburn 11 Seasons 4 Times
Alabama 10 Seasons 3 Times

Pretty sure the above post says we are tied with A&M.

You mean when we self reported the text book thing?

And yet Louisville and UNC are teflon when it comes to the NCAA.

So Bama doesn't get punished and Auburn does. The ttmw, Ingram and Julio, Fluker, and Dix alone would have put Bama way past Auburn with the NCAA that ran things when Auburn got in trouble last.
Bottom of the sec and about 20 years of probation for constant cheating to no trouble and top of the nation in 2 or 3 years says it all.

Well that just means that Auburn has been lucky enough (Cam cough cough Newton) that there are no additional penalties. There certainly hasn't been a reduction of Auburn busts.
edit: Oh, and though Ramsey may have played in the late 80s (I have no idea) the ncaa busted Auburn in the 90s. Terry Bowden says the payments to players continued while he was there... LINK

How Baylor and penn state don't make that list is what is wrong in this country in a nutshell.
Who gives a frick about paying players cars. But raping schoolkids and football players terrorizing a whole campus in Waco gets a slap on the wrist IMO.
Those two schools can frick off

I mean, I can see the argument that Title IX goes too far at times but damn, if the Baylor stuff is even close to true they frankly should pull accreditation if the Death Penalty isn't imposed- you can make a legitimate argument that the Football program posed a clear danger to the student body.

Then that is wrong. Football only for Bama is 3 - 1964, 1995 & 2002.
2009 was several sports involved & 1999 was Men's basketball.

was it a 1 man committee?
Of course not. If I recall correctly, Vince threatened to blow his nose and slime the other committee members so they all went along with his desire to punish Florida appropriately.
I could be wrong, though.

Yes, and a whole lot of other sports. I thought you meant football only.

Where did you get 1999 from?
