The fear is starting to make sense

I've been sensing a palpable fear coming from opposing fans on this board about the future of Arkansas athletics, when I crunch the numbers it's starting to make sense:
Basketball:
Mike Anderson has the Hogs trending up. Win totals by season:

beginning next year the Hogs will be a fixture in the tournament for years, just like the old days. no wonder Auburn hired Bruce Pearl, they knows what's coming and are preparing themselves, props to them.
Football:
0-8 is funny and all but the one thing the Rant conveniently ignores is Bert's team improved as the season went on and played our best game at LSU to end the season. We had one of the youngest teams in the conference and the most freshman All-SEC players (tied with OM and USC). Bert is pulling in studs on the OL and better talent than he had at Wisky. Yes he's fat and stuff but he's got the Hogs trending up.
hope you all enjoyed our two years in the abyss. we have our sea legs back and ready to return to our rightful place atop the SEC. so continue to start flame threads and living in the past, tFlagship is comin' full steam ahead.

trending up, yes. Back to the top of the SEC... I'm not ready to say that yet. I do think basketball is about to turn the corner and return to what we are used to. I'm not 100% convinced of that in FB yet. I see some things I like and some that concern me.
Baseball looks a little bit down at this point this year but DVH knows how to put together a winner and I like the young players on this team to be really good in a year or so.
