I agree, and yes I know there are plans. Have no clue about timelines though. I've bitched about updating the sound system for years, but it has fallen on deaf ears. The outside and concessions need the most work. The past few years, there has been an effort to improve concessions. Expansion is a ways off if you ask me. It really just isn't needed. Law of diminishing returns and what not.

Solid list. Neyland looks really nice; I hope LSU looks at what they've done when they begin to renovate the concourses in Tiger Stadium's lower bowl.
Arkansas' stadium is great and the club area is nice. No alcohol and windows shutting out the atmosphere hurt it, though.
JHS should be higher.
Surprised to not see the Big House higher on the list. Even if it isn't known for its atmosphere, it always seems to make it into these top ten lists.

most of these experts have been members of the media covering college football for decades. i'm sure they have more to base their opinions off of than the majority of college football fans and have been to many of those venues many times throughout the years

Fairly similar, fan-voted.
Add Nebraska, South Carolina, Michigan, Clemson. Take out Oregon, ND, Georgia, Washington and you have it, though not the same order.

surprised me too, but honestly, after finally going to a game there, i wasn't all that impressed. the campus at ann arbor, however, blew me away, incredibly nice. but the stadium was pretty meh to me, and we even were able to get field passes through a buddy who was working for their AD at the time. it's not awful, but it definitely wasn't what i was expecting based on its reputation.

And probably not a one of the "experts?" has even personally seen the half way renovated Kyle Field.

to you people that keep saying jordan hare, have you actually been? like said above, it needs renovations in the worst way especially on the outside. They need to update those huge Heisman cards on the outside as well. looks sooooo tacky.. but i aint taking away shite as far as atmosphere. I would say tops in the SEC in a big game. Barely ahead of LSU

Tiger Stadium has done well on lists like this for decades. Kyle is rising fast. Never been to a game there.

On-line voting means about a much as a MSNBC Presidential Approval Polls. I have been to many on that list, some are worthy but others are based on which games you watched there. There is a difference in Game atmosphere and Stadium aesthetics.

Which "experts" were these exactly?
Neyland is big but old. I've been to Sanford Stadium a bunch of times and its nothing particularly special.

The only stadium in the SEC that isn't "old" is Commonwealth. Not sure what that has to do with anything. If you'll look at posts earlier in the thread, like many other schools in recent years, Neyland has undergone and continues to undergo massive renovations to Neyland.

The artillery piece at A&M actually came about when I was in school. It was found at (I think I have this right) a cutting site for bonfire. It was used by cadets training for WW1 and apparently abandoned there. A classmate dedicated himself to getting the thing cleaned up and in working order, and he deserves more credit that he gets for his efforts. I'm not sure I get the point of firing a cannon outside the stadium, but they strangely didn't ask me.
