No because they will never win a championship here. They had one of the greatest players of all time and a great OL and elite WR corps and still couldn't get close to even winning the division.

Not for long.

Many SEC programs exceed 100 million dollars in revenue. They will not accept mediocrity for long.

Bama likely will go down some after Saban, but that is relative to the outsize success of the last 5 years. Bama may even underperform this year given the new QB, loss of some great defensive players, etc.

AU, LSU, Fla, UGA, UT, USC, Ark and aTm have the resources to compete with anybody.

I see Mizzou , KY, Ole Miss, MSU and even Vandy investing in facilities.

The SEC may have more parity, but since there has not been a repeat Champ on the field since UT in 98 I guess we are already there.

It is funny that you think it is all Saban considering Auburn, LSU, and Florida have also won the BCS championship. Georgia and South Carolina have also been close. Until the SEC stops recruiting the best talent in the nation the SEC will be number 1.

Cam is gone. Tebow is gone. Urban Meyer is gone. Les will be gone around the same time Saban leaves.

I could be wrong of course but IMHO I don't see Gus leaving for anywhere until he's had major success consistently at AU.

I'm going to have t-shirts with this quote printed on them.
If I only sell them--at cost--to SECr posters, I'll be set for life.

This is one of the most ignorant lines of reasoning I've seen used on this site.

I'm impressed in spite of myself.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that schools aren't ever permitted to recruit new players, once the old ones graduate/move on to the NFL.
By that logic, only the teams with shitty players can ever win anything.

So our defense from last year should be tops in the land, right?

bullshite! The south is where the players are. They aren't going to be leaving in droves to go to other regions.

Gus vested Nicky the Short in a single 60 minute session.

Players don't matter when you don't have the coaches to train them. The downfall is upon us.
