LSU fans would never have that attitude. We don't care how many yards we put up against Bama. We don't care how good the game was. We only care about the outcome. There are no moral victories for LSU. Bama fans are the same. It's National Championship or bust.

So all those "yeah, but we totally out-played you until Chavis went prevent against you on the last drive" and "yeah, but, Mett totally exposed the Bama D" threads last November were hacked accounts, right?

I have come to realize LSU has the most insecure fans in the SEC.

I'm trying to find the A&M site that allows flaming of Aggies. Link?

So I should be dissapointed with going toe to toe against the 2 time defending national champs 4 years removed from a 4-8 season where we were blown out by 50+ points numerous times.

If you think you are a championship team? Yes. If you think you are a mediocre program going through a good run - keep up the good work.

Aren't you the fan base that tried to claim the TAMU win v Bama last year, because you got them tired for us?

They also like to thump their chests about Mett having a good game against Bama even though they lost.

Have you seen our defense?? On what planet could we be considered a championship level team. Plus give me a break, even championship teams lose games.

1) Not sure introducing 'what ifs' in a thread that involves Aggies helps your cause... ask them about any of their losses last year

2) LSU fans were crushed when we lost to you... because we, like you play for championships. If we were high fiving over your above quote with a smile on our face - I would understand your point. But we were upset. That is what happens when teams with championship endeavors lose.

We are in that league over the past 10 years. Who would you rather be associated with at this point in history - ND, USC or LSU?

LSU wasn't in prevent on that last drive. The last play was a blitz.

Those are excuses and frustrations, but they are not expressions of a moral victory. But good try!

Hmmm so you guys are finally admitting the debate in these parts for 9 months that you are not a championship team is over and you pathetically lost? Good... glad to hear you guys have woken up.

Thank you for your words of wisdom. It is so refreshing to be lectured on moral victories from a school that spent the offseason claiming credit for A&M's win over Bama because you gave them a tough game before LOSING.

I don't think you will find a lot of Aggies who are happy to have competed with Bama, we wanted to win that freaking game. Still, the game itself was a great one and it was hard not to enjoy it as a fan of college football and to see some of the incredible performances from A&M players (esp JFF and Evans).

I think the consensus is, "Sucks that we lost that game but the season isn't over. Let's go out and win the rest and see what happens."

Since 1996,only one team can win. Nothing in the world wrong with being proud of your team's effort in a losing cause.

And I am a little disappointed today. You never want to lose.

What softens the blow is three things:

1. EVERYONE and their mother expected Saban to crush us by multi-touchdowns in a near shutout. Bama winning but on our terms (a lot of offense) shows that Saban's defense isn't invincible. Our game will be part of the Oregon/Bama MNC hype.

2. Its early enough in the season we can still make a BCS game, which is what I realistically expected for the season.

3. Its obvious when you watch that game we don't have the talent to win it all on defense. LSU can expect a title every year because LSU has been in the top 10 of recruiting for a decade. We have had two good classes, two! We need a few more before I beat myself up about not stopping Bama's running game.

Put another way - LSU was crushed and bitter losing to a championship team and we were meh about beating the middle of the SEC road Aggies in their house.

You guys, being middle of the road, are all gosh darn proud of staying with a real team. I understand - nothing wrong with that.... just not sure what all the pumping chests points on this board were about over the past nine months. Middle of the road lost their 3rd home game in 8... cheers for the great performance team!

How is anyone supposed to KNOW for a fact that our defense is going to be terrible. It's all conjecture until the games start to be played. After witnessing the abortion of our defense, only one logical conclusion remains.

I dont know why people think this is a bad thing. We havent done jack shite in a long time. It's like when a team rushes the field and opposing fans go "come on! Act like you've been there before". Guess what we havent been there. You all like to remind us that we havent won anything and then you get pissy when we act like teams do when they havent won anything.
