Auburn/UF was a great one. 40-38-2 in their favor before we stopped playing annually.

Most LSU fans don't see Arkansaw as a rival.

Gotta give Richt credit. For all his flaws, he knew how to own the backup school.

How many times have you heard them say, "well Bammer only beats really bad Auburn teams.....they never beat really good Auburn teams?"
For the sake of argument, let's call a 'good' team as one that wins 9 or more games in a season.

In the last 50 years, AU has finished the season with 9+ wins exactly 22 times.

Bama is 4-18 in the Iron Bowl in those years.

So you're correct, it's not accurate to say "Bammer never beats really good Auburn teams".

It should be Bammer hardly ever beats really good Auburn teams.

He owned everyone (although UGA should almost always beat GT) but thankfully had bad luck against us.

Florida has owned UGA since 1990. Goff, Donnan and Richt were Florida’s bitch. All I remember as a kid was the arse whooping Spurrier and Florida would put on the Dawgs. Horrible memories.

When I was at USC not too long ago, there was a consensus among students as to which the two biggest games were: UGA and Clemson. Some out of state students even cared about/wanted to beat UGA more than Clemson. Our biggest tailgates and parties were for UGA and Clemson.

I felt like the UGA fans cared about it too though. Of all the away game trips we by far got more shite talk to us in Athens than anywhere else. Maybe it was because both teams were just pretty good from 2010-2014, or Spurrier, or whatever.

Still, even though it is lopsided in Georgia's favor, based on my experience I came out of USC thinking that they were absolutely our second biggest rival.

How did Richt only go 4-3 combined against Zook and Muschamp though?

I'm sure Spurrier always wanted to beat UGA over Clemson. He always wanted to beat them over FSU when he was here.

It is undoubtedly our 2nd biggest game every year. I'd also make a case that it's perceived that way because it's usually our first SEC game of the year and most of the time our first true test of the season every year. Also because it's usually our first big game every year, it gets talked about all offseason if we play a cupcake to open the season.

Just my thoughts.

If I am not mistaken, we've turned down every application for a Rivalry that they've submitted in the past few decades.

So, until they earn it ... not a rivalry.

Never knew we even submitted one. What's the point?

Not a rivalry.

I agree. Look at the overall series... it's not even competitive to be a rivalry.

This thread is strangely devoid of UT fans. I wonder why?

Once the game stops having SEC West implications almost every year, the intensity will practically disappear. My guess is it will be when Miles and Saban both leave.

My girlfriend goes to UA and made a good point. The current generation that is so used to owing LSU may melt the frick down if LSU put up another good 5 win streak on Alabama. It may not be as intense, but it will continue to be "the game" I bet.

LSU vs Ole Miss is a great rivalry.

The hate is so evenly spread throughout the fanbases. I assure you that if ole miss keeps staying in contention and fielding a good team... That rivalry will probably get out of control.

That's what pisses most UT fans off the most. Florida have, for the most part, been shite since Urban left yet every single year they are able to stroll into the UT game and come out victorious
